today is a depressing day for me. well, maybe the depressing part started yesterday. i was browsing through my usual forums when i chanced upon this thread started by a fellow forummer. this is a pet forum so we usually share pictures and stories about our pets. he posted that his cat died out of the blue. one fine day he came home and found his cat dead. his cat wasn't sick or anything. a life gone, just like that. i've always liked his cats as he take wonderful pictures of their antics. sad news number one.
late last night was chatting with friends on msn. just chatting about the usual stuff and talking about meeting up soon. today received a call from one of them. he read that our friend's younger brother had just passed away. same thing, not sick or anything. my friend was only 29, so her younger brother must be less than that. nothing out of the blue, was paying the taxi driver for the ride home when he collapsed. ambulance could not revive him. will be going for the wake later.
i am feeling so down now. it's like what's the point of planning and saving when a life can just go out like that. poof, and it's gone. :(

so sorry for all the depressing things going on in your life. seems like when it starts it doesn't know when to quit. just be there for your friends, they need you. at times like these they can really need a good supportive friend. i have lost both my parents this year & my friends really rallied around me & it meant so much. i hope things getbetter for you .

hi antiquelady, it's nice to hear from you. i'm so sorry to hear about your loss. friends are very important at this time. good to hear that your friends had rallied around you. i shall be doing the same for my friend too. we chinese has a saying, 'misfortune comes in threes'. i really hope that this is the end of misfortunes. :(

Seriosuly you are facing a bad day friend , only Almighty knows till when one is going to live , and no one knows how long will they live for , so all should be living happy till the end of their until anything like this hit them , this makes me feel so bad and depressed .

thank you my friend for your kind words. i'm feeling better already after all the support i'm getting here. it was a really bad day. that's why i decided to come here and look for support. thankfully i'm not wrong and you all managed to warm the cockles of my heart. i shall try my best to make those around me and myself happy. it's so true that we don't know when will anything like this hit us. cheers ;p

Hi applefreak,
I know it makes you think like that when things like this happens, I lost my mother and I thought the same things but life goes on and the people that has gone to onther life would not want us to feel like that so we must get on with life and do the things that we are meant to and be happy. yes it always make me think so when this kind of things happen. i've lost a pet cat before and it was almost like the end of the world. thankfully i've got my parents, my partner and my other cat. if not i don't think i could have carried on. i shudder to think what will happen to me if they are all not around anymore. till then, i'll go on and do things that make me happy. thanks for your kind words my friend.

Yeah life is really unpredictable, indeed, you don't know you will die infront of the computer now while you are typing...Its only God knows what, where, when...therefore, as early as today don't forget God in your heart.

thank you lester for your kind words. i know none of us know exactly when we are going. that's why it is so important to enjoy the moment. i've learnt that we must constantly look out for things that make us happy. simple things are enough to make me happy. like the times when i spotted a pair of yellow oreos frolicking on my way to work. it's kind of like they know i'm down and are just there to cheer me on. cheers ;p
