Are We All Doomed?

With gas prices being as high as they are and groceries sky-rocketing, I can't help but think that possibly in the near future, we will all be down on one knee, begging for help. I think about this all the time. I find myself laying in bed at night, thinking about how much money I am in debt, and how much money I am going to have to spend on bills, and how much money I don't have to spend on groceries. I really do think that we will get to the point where we are all basically starving. All the power will be cut off because we won't be able to pay our bills and we won't be able to afford groceries or other basic ammenities. What is your take on this? What do you think it will be like, economy wise, in 20 years?

I think the economy cycles, it goes up and down. In twenty years most of us will be fine. I must say that even though high prices makes things tight I don't spend my nights worrying about it. I just believe it will all work out. I've made adjustments in my spending, driving habits and work hours, but we'll always manage the basic needs of our family.

Well, it seems as of right now gas has went down. I never thought that was going to happen again. I still believe that things are just going to get worse and worse with the occasional break that doesn't really make up for the raising prices and the wages not staying with the increases.

I say amen to that. Let's just say hypothetically speaking, that I never get a raise at work, and things just keep going up. Or if I only get a ten cent raise every year. Man, I don't think this is gonna end well for all the working men and women of this country.

These days, it seems that those that don't really deserve the raises and the breaks in life seem to get them. I guess the answer is to go on welfare and quit working...
