common sense

hey guys why is that common sense is so uncommon these days? so many problems of life can be easily evaluated by the use of a simple logic or logical rational thinking, but still people don't use it. why is that so?
ok let me ask you a simple question, if 1=5;2=25;3=125;4=625then 5=? i know many of you hate mathematics, even i do so, but still you use your common sense and answer this question. i will give you a hint, its not based on mathematics, its based on the topic which we are discussing.

I know its one according to common sense but what if i am not common..you didn't only ask if 1=5,5=?..but gave other equations too...And then the answer changes..that's where maths matters!!And maths is not common!!
