Could someone please explain the value of a nickel and a dime and if your currency starts at 1cent like it does in australia, i am doing paid to read and they pay 1/4 of a cent. Any info would be great

american monetary unit is the dollar which is made up of 100 pennies 5 pennies = 1 nickel 10 pennies = 1 dime 25 pennies = 1 quarter 50 pennies = 1 half dollar

A nickel is 5 cents and a dime is 10 cents. Yes there is a 1 cent and it is called a penny. Twenty nickels equals a dollar. 10 dimes equal a dollar.
