Are there any GMail users out there that can help a poor frustrated Wolf? There must be a way of being able to bounce emails from my Gmail account, I have checked and you can't block anyone which is a pain in the proverbial and I can't find anything about being able to bounce emails I don't want to go through the painful process of having to change my email and spending months updating all my accounts with my new email I don't want to put them on filter either because I want someone to think that my Gmail account is CLOSED so they get the Bl**dy message and leave me alone! Sorry! But you'd think some people would get the message wouldn't you, I want to get on with my life. The emails are not abusive in any way. Can anyone help me or suggest a way I can bounce them? Thanks a MILLION!!!!

Hi Wolfie, Who says you can't block someone? You cannot literally BLOCK someone in gmail, yes, but you can do something with the same effect. Go to your settings and set up a filter. Enter that person's email (you can even block the entire domain by entering e.g. *.spamsites.com - note the asterisk) and choose to always skip the inbox and send to trash. Viola, you will never see it again except in spam which isn't really such a big deal, is it? But you don't want anything to do with filters? Not even if you won't ever see their emails again? I can't really see any big difference if you ask me but if that is the case, then yes, you can't pretend your email is closed. I don't think you can do it with any email except really closing it. The error message will be different so that is not what you want.

Thank you my friend, In hindsight knowing that I cannot block the messages I will look at it from a different point of view, how does the person who is sending them to me know I am actually GETTING them? If I filter them to spam I will never know and sometimes it may be painful but forearmed is forewarned as they say!

Well, to them, they would just assume their emails have received you and you have not checked your inbox, don't bother to reply or the mails accidentally got labeled as spam. In your case though, if you choose to implement the filter I mentioned, then of course, the labeling as spam part was not accidental but intentional.

Hi wolfie... Its not possible to bounce an email in gmail from a certain person but you can put a filter on them. It will mean that their emails will go straight to your trash folder or you could mark it as spam and put it straight into your spam. That way you wont even know its there. Sorry I couldnt be more help...
