I like to read all kinds of fictional books about marriage and family. I still haven't found an author though that writes a lot of these types of books that are really funny. I really love humorous fiction on these topics. Do you have a favorite author? If so are that favorite author's books ever a disappointment to you?

it's a long list, but a few from the top; Mercedes Lackey - Fantasy,Diana Gabaldon - fiction(mostly historical if you need to pin it down further) Dorothy L. Sayers - mystery...

Bill Cosby wrote a humourous book on Fatherhood. In fact I think that's what it's called. I don't specifically know of any humourous books based on family. Sherry Argov has written the funny books "Why Men Love B1tches" and "Why Men Marry B1tches". I am keeping my eye out for those. Someone on here mentioned that Janet Evanovich writes humourous novels but I'm not sure if they all are or only a series of books. Maybe that person will stop by and tell you. I like fictional books on family and marriage as well, but haven't found any that were really funny. I also like mysteries. I do have favourite authors and usually stick to them because I know they won't disappoint. But stepping outside the list of authors doesn't disappoint. Joy Fielding writes some pretty good family-oriented novels. I love her books.

Thanks for all of your good ideas! I'll have to see if I can get some of those books. I did read a couple of Janet Evanovich's books. They're o.k. I think I may have read one of Joy Fielding's books. I'll have to double check on that. As for Bill Cosby I love his stand up specials from years ago. I'm sure his book is hilarious. Thanks again!
