Hi guys. I read an article several days ago that some of the people selling items on eBay don't hesitate to sell some of the Christmas presents they do not like. What do you think- is it correct and have someone done it?

I have done it. Especially if I know the person never put any thought into the gift and I didn't like it. I have also done this for clothes that I got that did not fit and I can not return them. If one has no use for the item given, why not sell it to someone who can use it?

I've never done this, but I think it's acceptable on some terms. If the gift is personal, something that they got when they were thinking of you, if it is green because that's your favorite color and it has a rabbit on it because you love rabbits and it's otherwise very thoughtful, it might be kind of cruel. But if it's not recent, if you have had it for at least 6 months, I think it's okay.

I've never done it but I'm sure it happens a lot! I guess it's no worse than "regifting" and giving the present to someone else. I'm sure it's pretty rude to do either one, but why keep some gosh-awful thing around you'll never use? I always try to give gifts I know the person will love, and I guess my feelings would be hurt if I found out they gave it away or sold it, but I'd get over it. It was a gift, after all, so they were free to do with it as they wished. But I'd think twice before I gave them another gift! They'd probably just get gift cards from then on!!
