The lifestyle of a Call Center Agent

I have been seeing around normal looking Filipinos in the mall. One incident I remember I was on the line of an atm machine, looking down on the cemented floor I heard like Americans talking when I look up 2-3 Filipinos talking in American accent while getting money out in the machine. I couldn't understand how I feel it seems that why they are talking like Americans in fact they aren't one. Seeing them in Starbucks drinking cups and cups of coffee, smoking, going to bars etc. I was thinking is this the lifestyle of a typical call center agent? Or maybe the lifestyle of other professionals as well who can afford to splurge or pretend they have the money to splurge?
