Is ciao.com the same with ciao.com.uk?

I signed up with ciao a couple of days ago because a fellow mylotter invited me. You get paid to write reviews in this site. I noticed yesterday that i entered the ciao.com.uk website. I signed in but was unable to. So i tried the ciao.com site instead. I got in. My question is, are they two different sites? Can i still sign up with ciao.com.uk even if im already a ciao.com member?
