marriage proposals

I'm not in a relationship, but if I were, I wouldn't want a public proposal. I'm much too shy and it would be embarrassing and anyone who knew me well enough to want to marry me would know that. Also, unless we had discussed marriage before and he knew that I would say yes when he proposed, a public proposal would seem like a form of pressure -sort of "how can you break his heart in front of people by saying no?" As for what I would want? Just a heartfelt declaration of love and a request to marry him. Any special additions (flowers, dinner, something more unconventional, or nothing at all) would be completely up to him.

I don't think it matters how or where a proposal takes place, provided the people love each other. Love is all that matters. My fiance could propose to me in a buss bathroom and I wouldn't care. Actually though, neither of us proposed. We just mutually decided to get married lol
