Have you ever watched the old t.v. series Little House On the Prairie? I still watch this every day and wish that I could live in simpler times. I love how family was always number 1 and the quality of living was tip top. Now I do not think that it was easy living back then but life itself must have not been so hectic. I just love this show. My favorite person was Laura. I liked all the spunk about her . Who was your favorite? And why?

I used to watch that when it was on as a regular show, then later in re-runs. I watched it every day. Don't watch it much anymore, but I did love the show. It was a simpler time, wasn't it? And family (and community) meant so much.

Yes, the family and the community meant everything. I just wish It could be like that now. Now everything is a fight to survive financially.

Actually i liked this show too. Even thought it showed the way that even life was supposed to be even today, but as I grow older I realize that life even then must have not been as we thought. As bad as it is now I can not believew it got this way over night. Even things like that are going on now I still thing was even partly going on even then but just not as much talked about. In some ways I find myself wondering if even that show was not based on a lot of lies.

Actually I have researched the show and yes, most of it was a lie. But I have read all of the books and the way of life was a lot like the series. The characters or at least most of them were just all made up along with the fact that they lived mostly there in Walnut Grove. They actually only lived there for eight months. And Mary never did get married.

It's funny you should bring this up right now because I was going to start a discussion about it too.
I was channel surfing the other day and there was nothing on to watch at all. I ended up catching the first part of Little House on the Prairie and decided to go ahead and watch it. I'm glad I did, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
It was an earlier episode before Mary went blind, so Laura was still 'half pint'. I don't know as I have a favorite, but watching the show made my day.

I have seen that episode hundreds of times it seems. I have watched this series ever since I was a small child and it was already done running by the time I was born. It is just a nice fresh and relaxing show to watch with the kids because it has true values in it. I will always watch it.

I loved watching that show!!! The way that life was shown to be back then was so accurate and life was not as rushed and crazy as in todays world. I loved watching Laura grow into a mature woman, She was a spunky girl and carried the same spunk into her marriage to Alonzo and her other relationships as an adult.

She was spunky, wasn't she? I just wish that she and Almonzo would have had more than just one surviving child.

I watched the show when it first came out with my family. My kids loved it, so we watched it together. Truly a family show. Can't say I had any favorites, liked all the characters.
