Have you ever gotten sick from salmonella after eating at a fast food place?

My dad and I, both on seperate occasions got sick from Hardy's. We found out that they were not properly refrigerating the mayo and about 35 people complained, including myself, on my occasion. My dad said it was the mayo when he, and 12 others, complained to the store. Needless to say, they refused to correct the problem and the health department shut them down. We haven't had a Hardy's where I live in about 20 years now. Oh and just about a month ago, my boyfriend and I went shopping and stopped at a Captain D's and both got sick for about 3 days. We thought it was the flu until my brother verified that he went to the same one and went to the hospital to be diagnosed with food poisoning. I am glad I cook at home for the most part. I would hate for my kids to get what I did. That's too risky.

No,I haven't got sick after eating at a fast restaurant.But my ciusin did!He and his friends often eat outside in restaurants or some fast open area,such as barbecue.He often felt terrible after eating.So his father ordered him to go to see a doctor and not to eat outside any more.And the doctor told him that he was sick just because salmonella poisoning.

never at a restaurant-but once at the work cafeteria. i got food poisoning and was sick for a week. undercooked chicken-i'm borderline vegetarian after that happened.

My hubby got sick from Taco Bell ( or Taco Hell, as he now calls it) He normally doesn't eat fast food too often, but we were in a mall and he decided he wanted Mexican. About 5 days later he started having pains in his belly and they lasted for nearly 14 days. He could only manage to eat one meal a day and ended up eating yogurt and activa for a week to get his stomach back to normal. And just like that, 6 or 7 pounds later, the problems finally disappeared.

No, not that I can think of. But, I did get sick from eating food crumbs that happened to drop out of a microwave.. I will never do this again. The microwave was located in a building that I had Job Skill classes at.. My stomach was in pain after that..

I also have a friend who suffered from salmonella after eating at some restaurant. He need to be confined to hospital for three days because he become dehydrated. Since then he never eat again on that particular restaurant again.

I had salmonella poisoning before, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. I was so sick for at least three days. I had gone to the St Genarro festival in New York one year. I ate grilled chicken on a stick, which was pretty tasty. It doesn't come down on you right away. There's like a three to five day period before it hits you. I was so sick, the pains in my stomach, the vomitting, and bathroom duties were non stop. I took everything to try to ease my pain and the other symptoms, but nothing helped. I wish that on no one, not a good experience.

i have gotten sick before from eating at mc donalds. after three times of eating from there i vowed never to eat there again. i'm not sure if it is from samonella though.
