I don't really believe this. My parents have friends who are muslims. People just tend to generalize because of what's happening around us. I pity those muslims actually who are kind. They are becoming identified with terrorists.. on the other hand though, they can't blame the people too.

I absolutely hate stereotypes, so my answer is absolutely not. I've met Muslims who are the nicest people in the world. If all Muslims were terrorists, then I think this world would've already been obliterated. There are many Muslims living here in the US who are what we would consider "normal" people. Because of September 11, 2001, everyone seems to think that all Muslims are out to get them, which I don't believe is true. I know that there are Muslims who are terrorists, but it's not fair to everyone else to be labeled like that. What do you think? I know it bothers me when people stereotype me with other groups and come to find out, I'm not associated with that group at all. I just don't like when people assume untrue things about me. What about you? I just don't like lies being spread about me, if you know what I mean. Taken on a personal level, I don't think people should judge others before really taking the time to get to know them. Great post.

But the ones that are terrorists and call themselves as Muslims are lying because if one is a true Muslim he cannot kill a single person on this earth as the Quran says that the murder of a single human being is like the murder of the whole humanity and the saving of one life is like saving the whole humanity.

If you mean everybody thinks all Muslims are terrorists, that's not true. How can everybody think one way about anything? Isn't that a generalization just like the view that all Muslims are terrorists? I don't think all Muslims are terrorists. I think, any group you can put a person into - race, religion, gender, whatever- there are good and bad people in it.

I absolutely don't support this view. That is like saying all americans or all whoever are something or other. We are all people...simple. Some people of all races and religions are not very good people but certainly not ALL. If ALL the good people in the world would join hands and together fight the terrorists that seem to exist just everywhere that would be progress. Kind of an unrealistic dream but it would be nice..wouldn't it?

No, everybody does not think that. There are muslim terrorists out there, but they aren't all so, just as there are christian and buddhist and whatever terrorists just as there are good people of that faith as well. I believe the terrorists of tthe world are very misguided, some of them plain evil, but I would never apply that tag to all persons in a specific group.

i do not think every Muslim is terrorist ,this is a wrong concept ,i know many people consider Muslims as terrorists and think they are really cruel and can do anything, but i have some Muslim friends and since i know them so i do not support this point of view of thinking all Muslims as terrorists.

Absolutely reject the notion that "all muslims are terrorists". If somebody believes this stereotype then I think it is just their ignorance speaking. In my opinion, many terrorists are people who use religion (not just Islam) for their own benefit, to justify their twisted thinking.

Many of my friends are Muslims and they have so much respect to our country and to the lives of people. Many people do make generalizations to the Muslims which is very much unfair and I categorize as discrimination. I think those who generalized are stupid and uneducated about the Muslim people.

Personally, I don't hate all Muslims or feel they're all terrorists. And firmly believe that many, if not most, are just like the rest of us: decent, hardworking, human beings. But unfortunately, there are those who adhere to the sterotypes. And Muslims aren't alone. There are plenty of people who feel all illegals are criminals or "dirty Mexicans." Not true at all! And I most certainly don't feel this way one bit!! Some hate blacks and feel they're all gangbangers and criminals. Once again, not true and I don't remotely feel this way!! The truth is that any group--white, african-american, asian, Jew, Muslim, Arab, Latino, etc--has experienced some form of "racism" at some point in history. And that's a real shame! Each group has mostly good people, with unfortunately, some bad ones mixed in. And it's those bad ones that many use to form their stereotypes. Yet, I firmly believe that the majority of people, no matter what religion, color, or culture you are is good! And who knows, maybe somewhere off in the distant future, we'll all be one and not have these stereotypes and hatred towards one another. That's personified in the TV show Star Trek with the Federation--a world of different cultures and backgrounds working together and harboring no anomosity towards one another. We can learn much from that!
