We all know country music has changed over the years. Do you enjoy the older stuff or newer stuff best? And if you had to pick 1 artist as your favorite who would it be and why!? My favorite I think would be Martina Mcbride. She has an amazing voice and sings songs with meaning. She has songs on anything love, heartbreak, hope, etc. I just love that I can always pick one of her CDs and turn it on and be moved. :-)

My favorite country artist of all time is Garth Brooks. I am also a huge Brad Paisley fan, but Garth was the inspiration that got me into singing/playing country music. He is such a talented performer and songwriter and one can hardly argue that my sentimente must be the same as most everyone elses because Garth climed right into superstardom almost overnight.

Yes, Garth Brooks is definitely on the top of my list too! His voice is so good and his entertainer capabilities are unparalleled. Also, Brad Paisley is a favorite too. He is one of the few "New Country" artists that I like. His songs like "Online", "Ticks", "I'm Still a Guy", etc, are very funny and I always smile when I hear them. His songs like "Mud on the Tires", "Who Needs Pictures", and "Letter to Me" are so sweet and give me a warm feeling inside and remind me why I love country music. As for whether I prefer newer or older country music, I would say 90s country is my favorite. 90% of the country music of today seems to be unoriginal and too pop sounding to be country.

I'm not a big fan of modern country, it has lost a lot of it's attitude & soul & lacks a lot of what it was about. I much prefer the old school country artists. My favorite style is Western Swing which goes back as far as the 30's with artists such as Bob Wills & the Texas Playboys & Milton Brown & His musical Brownies. The musicianship of those guys is second to none. You can hear the roots of early Rock N Roll & Rockabilly in there. Sadly nowadays i feel it's all about money. Hank Williams is another favorite & do you know to this day he hasn't been entered into the Country Music Hall Of Fame

I am a big country music fan and I have always been one from as far back as I can remember I do like some of the older country like my parents listened to but I mainly prefer the newer country even though as I get older it is getting older too, and I would have to say that my favorite country singer is without a shadow of a doubt Garth Brooks,he has some really great songs, which are really inspirational and he is one of the biggest albums sellers in country music or at least that is what I have heard, and on the last CMA's he received the Crystal Milestone Award which he more than deserved.

I like the "classic" country songs best. Of course, I learned them when they were new. I used to play and sing in some of the bars in the Buffalo NY area back in the 1950's and 1960's. The nice thing about those songs is that they were easy to play and sing. Some of my favorite country singers were Eddy Arnold, Hank Williams Sr., Johnny Cash, Merle Travis, Waylon Jennings, and Willie Nelson. I also like Bluegrass music. I like to listen to the modern country artists, but I would never attempt to play the modern country music.

I have way too many to count! I love Reba and Garth and Brooks & Dunn and Big & Rich, Shania, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, Sara Evans, I cannot decide really. I love to listen to country music. From the older singers I love Crystal Gale, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Ronnie Milsap, just way too many to choose from. I listen to the more recent stuff rather than the older, unless I am feel nostalgic. Kenny Chesney and Brad Paisley and Big & Rich tend to make me think of summer time and going to the beach or hitting I-95 and heading to Florida! Now I am sighing for my missed vacations! I have not been to Florida since 2004, that is such a long time! Good question though!

I am a huge fan of country music but only the modern stuff. I can't stand classic country! My favorite artists would have to be Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney and Rascal Flatts. I love Taylor Swift's music because her songs are so easy to relate to since I am the same age. Kenny Chesney's music is the perfect music in the summer since it's so relaxed and he has a very care free sound to his music and Rascal Flatts are good anytime.

I preferred the country music of the 80's and before - there is still some good stuff, but a lot has become more crossover with rock. My favorite of all time is Garth Brooks. He always showed a lot of class and he never forgot his roots. (and he looked pretty good in a pair of Wranglers too!)

I have to say i enjoy the newer stuff, but i still do like the older stuff, so i guess its a 50/50. I dont know there are so many artists that i like, so its a hard pick, but Brad Paisley is great. but then is Taylor Swift. why Brad, because he actually plays the guitar when he sings, some country singers do songs and just strum the instrument from time to time. and he puts out alot of great songs and funny videos to go along with them. Taylor swift on the other hand is so hot, and she writes her songs. and i like them, some of them are like my situation in life. I am 18 and thats why.
