i do download songs over the internet, especially for the artists that i just like a couple of their songs or if its a new artist, i download couple of their songs and see how good they are then if i liked it, ill go and purhase myself a copy of their album. i still purchase because its the number one way of supporting the artist and the music that they play. when you just download their songs over the internet, its like ripping them off of their music. they do what they do best and at the same time afford a living as artists and musicians so its still pretty worthit to support and buy their cd's.

I am not someone who listens to a lot of music pukix but I can;t even remeber the last time I bought a CD! I do realize that it is not in the best interests of the artist to download songs ro albums from the interent but it is just so easy to do it and I am not someone who does it often so I haven't really considered this aspect too heavily.

yeah thanks for posting though James but if you think about the logic, musicians make good music and also release albums and they get a big percentage from the sales of their albums, if nobody is going to support them, they will flunk as artists.

i hardly purchase CD anymore... in fact, i seldom buy CD from the past... i'm not really a music person... i am more to a book person... i prefer to buy books rather than CD's... my hubby is a music person and he prefers to download from the internet and create his own CD... he only loves oldies though... take care and have a nice day...

I'm like you Kiks. I download songs over the internet from new artists or from artists that I only know and like a couple of their songs but once I've listened to it and loved it, I buy their CD's also. It's part of my collection and also a way of supporting them.

I do buy cds from time to time but I get most of my songs latelly from itunes. I think that way I do not have to buy the whole cd if I only like a couple of songs and then later on, If I love the artist then i buy the cd

I often buy CD to support the singers and artists. Although the internet is advanced , we also could download the songs quickly. I still buy CD and have a collection. Everynight, I will listen CD, sleeping lighter and lighter. Then I will have a good dream. It is good way to relieve yourself and sleep well.

If there is music that I really want to listen to I will generally buy the CD. But when i am at work I do listen to music from the internet. Its just not easy to bring in a stack of Cds to work everyday. I like that I can get online and listent to a song by one band, and if I want to listen to something different I can be listening to it within a few seconds. i dont illegally download though.

I download songs from the net if I want to listen to a music. I don't pay special attention to music so I don't mind if the quality is good or not, I can't tell it exactly. If some one love music, he can tell the difference and he may buy good CD from a store.

I still buy CD's but I haven't bought a CD in a while because there a little expensive, I usually go to rhapsody and buy them Id rather do that then, spend $12.00 dollars on a CD that I may only like one song on, I just think its kind of a waste of money.

I dont really purchase CD's anymore, unless its a theme of somekind, like halloween and such, but even then, i download them alot. I would have to say i download more than i purchase. I find purchasing a full CD almost a waste of money. More times then not, you buy a CD and only like about 4/6 songs on it. I understand about 'ripping' the artists off and such, but really...dont they have enough already?

i also do download songs over the internet ... it is true that i also do buy original cds over the counter but the rate of me doing so is very low i must agree wen every music is available for free over the net it is much of a temptation to just depend on that rather than spent all my money n also take the effort of going over to a store to purchase a new disc... also i do download from pay sites.. that is more like buying .., atleast i dnt have to feel guilty of having contributed to privacy

I do search the net first before i get to the store to buy it. If the song is available on the net, i ensure i download the same. I ould prefer downloading only the songs i like .. not the songs for the entire album / movie. this is one advantage you have for being able to download these days. With buying a CD, you dont get this option obviously. You have to buyit as a package deal .. & pay for the entire CD, whether you like all the songs or not.

I seldom purchase CD's nowadays. I prefer downloading songs, videos and other materials on the internet especially that I'm normally online everyday. Also, I would prefer to visit websites that shows free videos and movies.

Recently, I have not bought any CD because of the internet. It seems like I get to have a choice over the songs I want. Anyways, though, i pity the musicians for they get to be not paid over the music downloaded from the net.

Oh friend I am very wise when it comes to spending my money. I don't buy CD's anymore. I can always download and burn from my computer so I don't need to spend more in buying expensive CD's. I understand you if you want to support the artists but as for me I want to always save on my budget. Ha!ha!ha!

I prefer to download a song. Because with downloading I can choose the song the I like the most. IF I buy a cd, I must buy the entire song in the album. Some album only has a few song that I like it. So from downloading I can select the song that I like and of course cut my expenditure. keep post happy myLotting...
