What Fraction of People from Your Country Live in Rural Areas/Country Side ?

I am from India and since our Country is basically an Agricultural Country we have many villages and many people living in them. Now with the changing times people from villages also got literate and in search of job and better living conditins they are migrating toeards Urban areas. Because of this migration the Cities in India have grown up in the size in leaps and bounds and the population too!Inspite of all these migrations and expansion in the cities, still we have maximum population living in the rural areas or country side , looking after their agricultural fields.More than 60% of Indian population live in rural area (perhaps even more than that !, exact fraction I can't mention presently!). What fraction of people from your country they reside in rural areas or at Country side ?Kindly respond ! Thanks!

Here in the capital there are roughly (just my estimate) 10 million people out of the 80+ million in the entire country. However, a lot of cities in other parts of the country are becoming more commercial and has become a metropolis. Roughly around 40-50% would be living in rural areas. If you ask most of the people in the cities, they would probably say they came from another province (most common in the capital).
