I first heard about this on talk radio and I thought it was a joke. So I went to Washingtonpost.com and according to the Washington Post today, less than a week after taxpayers bailed out AIG, they went on an expensive company retreat to St. Regis Resort in Monarch, California and spent $440,000 on themselves. They took 10 of their best performers and treated them to a nice week at the resort. $220,000 for rooms, $150,000 for meals, and $23,000 for spas. During a committee meeting, a rep for AIG said that the trip was preplanned before they got the bailout. And you know what, I don't care. My problem with this is that our tax money was used to help this company out and they run off to one of the nicest resort in california and spend 6-figures on pampering themselves. Its like you lending money to someone who was in need and they turned around and went to vegas. The bailout money should be taken back. They should reimburse the federal government. They were a company in trouble and we bailed them out and they are having champagne baths, $215 aura massages, pampering for dogs. I feel betrayed as a taxpayer. Taxpayers work too hard and this is the thank you that we get from those that could our money to build up the economy. Go to the website and see for yourself.

It's unbelievable. It boggles my mind. They must not have any conscience to treat themselves like this. I wonder if they took their families with them. I'm speechless.
