AC pays us to write articles. Can we write articles on products or topics that are not called for? Has anybody here been paid by AC?

You can write articles on any topics that you wish to, however the Calls for Content ideas are payed for at a set rate, which may be more (or less), than other articles. Calls for Content are articles that the Associated Content staff want to add to the site, and therefore are willing to pay a premium for them. Yes, Associated Content does pay, for both performance payments and up-front payments (up-front payments are paid soon after the article has been accepted, while performance payments are paid separately).

I've been paid by AC every month since August of 07. You can write on pretty much any topic you want. It pays to do a search for you topic on AC before you write. The more information they already have on the topic, the less likely you are to receive upfront payment. However, you can receive page views on any article you submit, whether for upfront pay or views only. Anyone interested in making some side money really should consider AC. Some even make a full time income there, but it takes a lot of work. If anyone's interested, check it out at http://www.associatedcontent.com or http://www.associatedcontent.com/join.html?refer=79672.

I write for associated content but they pay only for the views that your articles get.
