Boyfriend think it's "cute" when I point at rock formations and clouds during our hikes and drives and tell him what I think they look like. A rock formation would remind me of a bunny trying to hide or a man sitting upright or a woman looking upwards. Clouds remind me of so many things. Do you find yourself (unconsciously or consciously) doing this?
Here's a picture I took when we hiked through the bluffs trail by the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Can you see the "turtle" in this picture? Or are you seeing something else?

Sure. I love making pictures out of things seen in trees and clouds as well as rocks. Our late neighbor had a lovely dragon that he made out from the tree-tops on a neighboring hill, and although I never quite saw them that way, I always went along with it because he got such a kick out of "his" dragon. I named it after him and long after he had passed away we would call out the dragon's name in greeting when we passed it. He was a good person.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I sure did spend some time looking it up because I couldn't remember what it was called. All I had was that it was in Puerto Rico.

Hi Anne,
I agree, looks like a turtle and looking for someone in the ocean! LOL!
ANyway, I am also like that in a clouds, I can see things like faces and some stuff due to its formation and it's fun really especially when it is gradually changing it's forms! LOL!

Oh, how to lay in the grass and just look at clouds change forms! I told Boyfriend that the "turtle" looks like it's about to go off to the ocean. Enjoy the cloudhunting, checapricorn!

Oh yes I do that all the time with the clouds and trees. The silhouette of trees would amazingly resemble something like a profile of an old man with a crooked nose, eyes deep inside as in a hollow face. Some other times I would find a cloud formation as something weird as elephant or even a woman with a baby! But guess what, most of the times my mother fails to relate to it. She would have her own imagination floating.
What a beautiful discussion that was!

I guess you got it from your mother then, mimpi. Even though you can't relate or agree on what it is you're seeing, that imagination is still a-working. I always find the profile of an old man somewhat sad. I don't know why. The last time I looked at the clouds (while I was driving), I saw a horizontal Snoopy with his air goggles on his head but without his doghouse.

Hello imsilver! How many turtles do you have? And what do you feed them? I'm curious.
I hope you get to see this rock formation in person too. But you know what, I'm sure you could see your own rock formation of a turtle near you.
Thanks for responding!

That is definitely a turtle. Looks like a sea turtle rather than a land turtle.

Ahaha, thanks, bestboy! Although I didn't really distinguish each from the other. Someone's imagination (and knowledge about turtles) is better than mine!

Hello Tonycn. It was Boyfriend who thought that what I was doing was cute. But yes, I think if I wasn't in better mood, I'd be seeing things differently too. Or maybe don't notice them at all. And I like what you said about all beauty coming from the bottom of one's heart. Thanks for sharing!

Maybe someday or in the next life, alokn, we'd be in a club specifically searching for shapes and interesting formations. Keep it up!

If I really stretch my imagination I can see the turtle I guess. At first I thought you were talking about a real turtle and I was all set to tell you my turtle story, so I will anyway. I was walking down river road, on one side of the road is the river and on the other side is the mountain, when up in front of me a rock came falling out of the mountain. It was a pretty big rock and I was curious what sort of animal had kicked it down, when all of a sudden the rock started crawling across the road to the river! I guess he was too thirsty to just crawl the whole way down the mountain and just flung himself down! I picked him up to see if he had sustained any damage but he was fine. Pretty tough little creatures, those turtles!
I don't much get into looking for things that clouds and rocks and stuff remind me of, but there are a few trees in the mountain here that look EXACTLY like giants standing on their heads with their head buried in the ground. It is very funny.

Streeetch and streeetchhh that imagination, zig! Inhale, exhale. Good!
I enjoy your turtle story but if a rock started moving towards me, I would hightail it out of there. You know, hail and farewell!!!
I was screaming in delight when I saw them big ones swimming in Hawaii but I don't know if I would hold one myself.
Don't even get me started on trees. There's this lonesome tree by Highway 101 and I've made up this story about how it's been trying to cross the freeway to the other side to join the other trees there. There are also a few trees about 30 feet from this lonesome tree and for the purpose of the story, I added that this lonesome tree is trying to lead his compatriots to the other side. Yes, it is a male tree.

Hi!
Is the turtle at the sea? I'm not sure if that's it. When I was a kid I use to imagine things forming out of clouds, rocks and trees. Usually I picture them looking like animals. Sometimes I would a face of Christ from different forms of clouds. But now I notice I seldom do that. Maybe because while I was growing up I became busy with a lot things going on in my mind so I seldom look and appreciate nature.
Ciao!

Hello iskayz. The "turtle" is the big rock formation by the water in the center of the photo. So how does Jesus look like in the cloud? Sometimes I see Mary. I am sure you take time to appreciate what's around you. You don't have to go somewhere special. Maybe while you're outside a building waiting for someone, you get to notice the sky, the pavement, the walls, etc. Enjoy the search!

Wow anne! Most definitely yes! That is a turtle! It really
does look like a turtle and I can't even believe that it
isn't! I love to look up at the sky and see things in the
clouds! It has always been a fascination to me to see what
I could find. In fact the other day on AOL news there was
an article about clouds and a whole bunch of photos of
clouds and what they thought people saw in the clouds. It
was just great! If you looked at some of the photos you
could actual see what they said the picture should be.
You have to have a good imagination sometimes. But in this
case that is definitely a turtle! I really need to get
myself a camera and start taking it with me. I have never
been good at snaping pictures because I never could work
my camera. But, not with those throw away ones they make
it so easy. I really need to try it. There are too many
things in nature that go missed that I could be capturing.
I really need to be looking into a nice digital camera
that I could learn to work and then learn to put online
so I could share my photos with everyone here too. Can
you give me some advice? I am a camera dummie.

Hello Opal. I'm glad you see the "turtle".
I am going to look up this article on AOL news. Maybe I can see what the others saw in the clouds and also come up with my own.
I carry my digital camera with me almost everywhere. That is why my purse is always a bit heavy. If I don't have it, then I use my phone to snap one.
As for choosing the best digital camera, I, unfortunately, can't help you on that one. Boyfriend gave me this camera two birthdays ago. If you have questions about settings in your camera once you get it, maybe I will know the answers but I'm no expert either. I have a Canon.
