I think by that time most people have accomplished just about everything that they wanted kids, house, etc... So then they can sit back and enjoy where life has taken them.

I don't know. I beleive life starts when you won't it to mine started when I got married and had kids, maybe it means when you turn 40 most peoples kids are almost grown and they can live a little go do what they wont im not sure.
