Different transport

My favorite way to travel is by train. I think that by bus is not such a comfortable way to travel. I only like to travel by ferry if the sea is calm. I fly in a plane to get to far away destinations. I like to go by car if I get to sit in the front passenger seat. I have been on trams and remember the delight of this. This was in Amsterdam, Riga, Budapest and Melbourne. In Malaysia I got to travel in a rick shaw for a short distance. What sort of transportation is your favorite? Have you been on a tram? If so what did you think? In your life have you been on a train, a bus, a ferry and a plane?

Hey Maximax,I like travel as well just like you, however,my visited places are far less than yours~.If can give me two options,I would like to tell that car and train.First,I like drive,as long as I'm allowed to drive in the places I visit,I will always rent a car and drive myself that I feel very relaxation and convience;2nd for the train,I like the train travel especially for some short ways, say city to city something~I can enjoy the view outside the window of train while have some drink and music~`wow`wonderful`I never try the train in Euro, which must be very cool`~I don't like fly anyway, however,we sometimes have to take the fly for the long long way travel for the time issue~`lol~`have a nice day~

Hello Tony TT. I think that it is impossible to beat the convenience of traveling by car. You can look at a map and take any route that you like, stopping in any locations that you feel like seeing. I can see that you find it comfortable to travel by train and like me you enjoy looking out of the window at the passing scenery. Have a lovely day my friend.

I hope that you will go on a cruise ship around the Caribbean and then the following year cruise around the Hawaiian Islands. You might find the weather cold in Alaska but from your cruise liner you would see lots of wildlife.

When I traveled to Luoyang (a city nearby Xi'an), we went there by train. It was nice because at that time it's crowded. But I still like to travel by plane because I don't have long vacations. I can't spend longer time on the way. So I prefer to spend extra money to buy the airplane tickets and therefore we can go to the destination soon. I love China

I usually end up travelling by air because I usually have to be there at a certain time or because I only have a couple days and driving would take to long. But most times I like to drive somewhere if I have a week or more. I have never been on a train but that is something I want to do in my lifetime. I want to go by train through the mountains, to Vancouver and then by ferry to Victoria for a couple days and then back to Vancouver and back home, by train. I would love to just sit and enjoy the mountains through a different course than driving. I have driven to Vancouver but by train it would be better because the train goes a way that cars can't go, up and down the mountain sides.

I too love travelling by train. Bus travel is not comfortable for long distances and air travel is too much frantic with all the new security measures. Never been by a ferry as we dont have them here. I love to get a seat by the window on a train, open a book and get lost in it.

Bus travel is especially uncomfortable for an overnight trip. I traveled from Trieste to Dubrovnik on a night trip with one change of bus. I felt uncomfortable. On my last holiday I took my toddler on an overnight bus from Vilnius to Tallinn and felt achy when it arrived at 6am. I feel stressed when I fly these days and don't think drinking water could harm anyone. I hope that you travel abroad and go on a ferry there one day.

I'm scared of flying so that's out, but i love traveling by train. Back home in germany we used to always ride the trains just for fun. I also like ferry boats. When we used to go to the north sea we took a ferry. Now i live in vegas and all there is, is car or bus. I'm on the bus. oh well

Oh, yes, the trains in Germany are such fun. I studied in the Netherlands for a few months and used to hop over to Germany to use a weekend wonder ticket. I was only valid for slow trains and it took many stops to go right across to Bamberg. Las Vegas doesn't have a train station so you just have a car or a bus.

My favourite way is travelling by train too my friend especially the double decker train I went on, sadly only for a brief period in Amsterdam, I love the novelty of going upstairs on a train! It was a wonderful experience. I have been on trams too in Blackpool, Amsterdam, Sheffield, Manchester and Croydon! I do find car journeys boring compared to other modes of transport, especially when you are not driving. A glass bottom boat was another favourite of mine when in Rhodes, quite an eye opener!

Hi there, Hmm... i like to travel by car. I enjoy driving and i love to take my Black Indica in the express highway and Zoommmm. I just race away to my destination. Lol well seriouslt i would like to travel in cruise. Travelling is so much fun if the mode of transport is comfortable and u have wonderful company. In my home town i.e calcutta still there is tram system. I have travelled a lot by rick shaw. In my home town u will get to c hand pulled rick shaw which is so upsetting. A man pulling all the weight looks very odd . I have made a lot of plane jouneys but honestly i dont like going to airports anymore. They way they scrtunize everything and the weird look they give to thew passengers makes me very uncomfortable. I go to various places with my car.. playing my favourite musics in my car deck and i just get to my destination in no time. Hope u keep traveeling and keep enjoying life! Cheers, Tutul

My favorite source of transportation would have to be by car, especially my own. I like the feel of being able to come and go as I please and not have to depend on someone or something to pick me up. While growing up I have been on a train, though only BART, which is located in the Bay Area. I've been on a bus to get around town (again in the Bay Area), as well as Greyhound for further destinations. The last time I took a trip on a bus was back when I was a teenager. I've flown in a plane before, though only twice in my life when I was a child. Once to get to where I was going and once to return home. I've been on a ferry before, but it only went around a lake, so that doesn't really count now, or does it? I'm pretty sure I've never been on a tram, so I can't say.
