Accommodation is a personal choice. Most of all I like locally owned guest houses, tree houses and beach huts. I don't like to stay in five star hotels or all inclusive resorts? What sort of places do you like to stay? Would you like to stay somewhere unusual or have you already done so?

Hello maximax. I have lived in hotels from five-stars to privately-owned hotels. There is a very big difference between them, especially in the unit price.

Well my friend I have stayed in a caravan for a holiday which is fairly unusal, and I have also stayed in a tent as well whilst camping in Scotland, but I do like my home comforts too much and prefer the luxury of life, after all when you are on holiday it's special isn't it, so why not go the whole hog and get everything included. Although I have to say I do love a double bed and it's not often I get the opportunity being a single guy to have a room with a double, apart from my retreat that is! But I think sleeping in the tent under the stars is just as exciting!

I like locally owned guest houses and beach huts as well. I have never stayed in a tree house. I'm quite sure I would like it. I do like the occassional 5 star resort. It all depends on my travel companion, reason for and location of the trip.

I like bed and breakfasts and little cottages. I also like camps near lakes.

My top choice would be a small rented house if we don't know anyone who could accommodate us in that place. As long as we are alone in that place it's fine. It feels like a home away from home. But if we know someone who can spare a house for us to stay in, I would really love that. But I also consider his/her family as we might get really rowdy. My next choice be hotels. I do like the luxury in staying in very nice hotels. But I'm choosy. I want to stay in a hotel which is in close vicinity to a large commercial area and most especially near a big mall or a place to hang out to. It's really boring if you stay in a good hotel but you have no where else to go.

Short and sweet to make you laugh this evening... Anywhere where we could afford to stay, at this moment in time not even a tent could we afford! Hope I have made you smile this evening

I like apartments the most. I have never stayed at an all inclusive resort - and really do not feel like it either. I am no classy enough to feel comfortable at a five star hotel. 3 star small hotels are fine. I would be open to a lot of different alternatives as long as the beds are good and the place is clean

I don't want to waste money on five star hotels. I can stay in smaller 3-star hotels as long as the place and bed are clean and the staff are friendly and accommodating. If I have friends and relatives in a foreign country where I travel, I stay at their homes.

I do like nice hotels but, also like the unusual types too - There is one in Bali where you stay in a little hut on the beach and it's looks so nice. Hopefully one day I will get to stay there! x
