Poor Shiloh! I hope you feel better soon. Even when I lived in colder climates, I hardly ever caught this sort of illness and never took lots of medications for that sort of thing myself, personally. However I do very actively work to prevent contamination and illness by being as hygienic as possible, washing my hands after touching things that other people have touched, never touching my face with my hands and also by eating highly nutritious food and taking vitamins and other food supplements. So I can sympathize with you, but I seldom need to recover from anything. Let's see, back in 1989 I had a cold and I took lots of vitamin C and some zinc lozenges and also drank something hubby and I call our "longevity cocktail!" No, it doesn't have any spirits in it, just apple cider vinegar mixed with honey and then diluted with enough water to make it palatable. If I have any sign of feeling "down" I just start right away taking more vitamins and make sure to get enough rest. Sometimes that is hard to do when working, of course. I've had to cut back on some socializing

Hello drannhh, I know someone who drinks this "longevity cocktail". Before you mentioned this, she was the only one I knew who did it so I thought it was one of her crazier ideas. She drinks it everyday and I guess it works because she's 91 right now.

Sprite - sprite lemon lime sodapop beverage
I have a weak immune system and so I am constantly getting sick. Actually, I think I have a cold coming on right now. So far I just feel really dehydrated, have a runny nose, and I am way tired. I didnt work today, so I like slept almost the entire day. I didnt even leave my house the whole day. There is one thing that really helps though. It is called airbourne. It's an all-natural herbal remedy that I guess just helps your immune system and stuff. Real cool. Also, if your stomache aches, drink lots of sprite or 7-up.

Hello shiloh! I'm sorry to hear that you are sick. I do hope you get better soon. I take Airborne to prevent colds. The first sign of being sick, I take it right away. Although they lost their case because a lot of consumers sued them that they really weren't working for them. But it did help me and a few friends. When I went to New York from Toronto, I got sick on the first day, I took Airborne that morning then I felt better that afternoon. Maybe it's in the mind too. Just get a lot of sleep and rest, drink and take Vitamin C and a positive mental attitude helps too. So just think of all the good things that happened in your life and hopefully you get better soon. Take care, okay? When you're feeling better, check our your email because I sent you one. It's not that important just saying hello.
