Catching up with old friends

Do remember the good old days where instead of pulling up the key board, you pickied up the phone and spoke to someone? Do you remember sitting down and penning a letter? Do you think we have progressed as a society with an instant gratification communication system, or do you think it was better and more personal in the "good ole days?" I think is was fun to anticipate a letter in the mail, but I feel more in touch with friends with a quicker response time than a snail mail letter. What does everyone else think?

There was a time when letters coming from the mailman were much awaited for. Now, though, it is just through emails and text messages- which I think is very helpful since you have instantly communicated with friends. However, there are still times when I missed receiving mails from friends and not just credit card company offers!

You are right. The dreaded credit card offer. I miss the anticioation of opening the mail box and getting something special. Although now we do have instant communication. Now the anticipation when opening the mailbox is just not getting any bills. Thank you for comments.
