I know there are people who don't believe in Christ but Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of Christ. I know that it has become extremely commercialized but I think that each person, each family makes it what they want it to be, about the presents, about all the stuff or a reflection of Christ being born and being thankful for that or just a time of family togetherness. I personally can not see the problem with calling Christmas Christmas. Calling the tree a Christmas tree. Maybe I am politically incorrect but I'm sorry it is a christian holiday. I love Christmas, I love the traditional Christmas songs that sing about my savior's birth and I'm not ashamed of it. So what I want to know is do you have a problem with the saying Merry Christmas? With the Christmas tree? Traditional Christmas songs? I know everyone has their rights to their own beliefs but don't I have the right to celebrate Christmas the way I see fit too? So if I said Merry Christmas to you and you didn't like that couldn't you in turn say Happy Holidays to me? Tell me your thoughts, I want to understand.

BAH, HUMBUG Actually, when Christ was on that cross and shed his life for us is more important to me than any of the rest. In the Bible it tells of the wrongs we do by adorning anything. I've had Christmas trees in the past and still put up some decorative trinkets during the season. Since few kids are ever at my home, I don't put up a tree, now. Mom, you mentioned the important thing- love of the family and gathering together. That should be done more often. And "treating your neighbor like he's your best friend" should happen again, in this 'ole world. I say, Merry Christmas but it really doesn't matter what anyone chooses to say to me. Oh, "the feast of weeks" or gathering of the end times" is the only holiday that the Bible really speaks of being celebrated. (Thanksgiving) Where would America be without the Indians showing them food that they could eat?
