I really need money and I decided to try out ebay again. I have only a few things listed right now , but already have some watchers. I am going to list some more items in the next couple of days and I really hope they sell. I have some of my wahm made diapers, mama pads, and some other items that would be great for Christmas gifts. I just hope that I am not wasting time. When my hubby gets home next week I am going to go out and get a real job. But for right now I am trying to make money at home.

Like you, I right now am doing Ebay to earn extra money. I have sold several items but I have found that all the fees ebay and paypal included kill your profits. Also the shipping now days is so much more then just a few years ago. I am still trying to learn and find easier more cost effective ways to sell on ebay. Godd luck!

Yeah the shipping is horrible. I have been selling some stuff through another website and when I went to ship something the other day it was almost 10.00 to ship it. Man. Ate up all of my profit for that . I lost a lot of money.

I have been selling on ebay since last February and have done okay. Shipping fees are a killer if you don't know the exact weight, size, etc of your package. I think the way to go is to sell something that doesn't vary in weight or dimensions so that you have stable fees. I am selling things from my house, others homes, etc so will have to deal with that for awhile. I have learned that printing your own label saves on shipping fees. I send everything with a delivery confirmation so to do this online is much cheaper than the 65cents charged at the post office. Also, recycling packages that come to me has helped with costs. It seems over the long haul that priority mail is the way to go. If the package is heavy and will fit in the flat rate boxes, that helps. I too, am still learning... Ebay is a tremendous place to do business, and even with all of the fees, I am happy.

You can sell stuff and say only local delivery. That way only local people will bid. Do you use Craigslist? All free. You can post up to 4 digital photos of your stuff. Blind email if you prefer. It's localized, so you reach people locally. We are in Orlando and love it. I buy things on there that are really good bargains - then put a better photo, better description, and offer delivery. You can make real money doing that. People sell things they don't want - for cheap. But when someone needs the same item, they will pay good money.
