With all this techo we are forgetting about the old well loved games we used to play as a child, like snakes and ladders, when did you last play cards with a pack of playing cards?
We used to play a lot of ludo
What old games do you think we should save?

I think we should save the old games and activities. It's fun and important for close bonding.
My nephew whose into computer games sometimes play with board games and card games with us. He likes to join us because we have more fun player cards than him alone staring at the computer. We try to have a balance when it comes to computer games and the old board games.

We used to play cards a lot in our house too when we were kids. I used to hate playing snakes and ladders because I always used to loose even though it is a game of pure luck, I reckon my brother's cheated no other reason for it. I remember my brother getting tin can alley for Christmas one year and that was good fun. Mousetrap was one of our favourites too.

I think they brought it back recently didn't they? We used to play spin the bottle at birthday parties can't remember what you had to do if it pointed to you. We also used to play hunt the thimble and the one that found it didn't ever get a prize but got to hide the thimble the next time!! Also when my mum used to do pass the parcel it was always wrapped in newspaper over and over again and no-one got a prize or a sweet inbetween wrappings, oh no, and the present at the end was like a small packet of sweets or a lollypop or something. Good times!!

I played cards just last Saturday night with my youngest grandaughter. We usually allow the young children to choose the games to play on Christmas Day. Last Christmas, we played snakes and ladders although this could have went on all night only somebody had the sense to do a little cheating...hee, hee. We also played scrabble, noughts and crosses, hangman and charades. There are lots more games that we still play but I just can't think of them at the moment.

Our family used to play Uno all the time. I don't know if I even remember how to play it now. I hope people keep playing Monopoly. I never played it, but it seemed to be so popular before and it is kind of a classic game, at least in America. Also, Candyland. I loved that board game as a child! I'm pretty sure I still have it. When my parents and sister and brother-in-law get together they like to play a card game that I can't remember what the name is. Last time though my dad and sister got so competitive that my mom refused to play with them anymore! : )

I would think I would save all of them because you never know when a storm
will come and you have to use candles inside so they are handy to have to
play cards checkers snakes ladders.
