Does Obama have the abililty to think for himself?

I do care if you are or not actually. And it was the phrasing and the question you asked that delivered the response. Of course Obama can think for himself. He is a father, a husband, a Senator, a man. He obviously had to think to decide to run for president He obviously had to think (and feel) to ask Michelle to marry him... and to stay married to her... He obviously had to think when he decided to run for Senate, he had to think when he was going to school at Columbia and Harvard... He had to think when responding to questions at the debates... He doesn't resort to lies or mud slinging, instead he points out the facts and track records.... On another note, John McCain having his wife out on the campaign, talking about Obama being in her shoes and voting against the troops funds? McCain voted the same way. Your question shows what you think about Obama, and blinders would keep you from seeing the truth.

Obama merely had to memorize the party line to give his answers in debates. Nothing about his campaign shows any ability for original thought. All your other examples shows is that he has a brain. Of course he has a brain, but all mindless sheep have a brain. The ability to think for oneself is much more difficult.. and apparently too difficult for Obama.

LIAR!!! She had a common sense plan to lower gas prices! When you look back it was the most clever promise she made as all one needs do is look at her lack of common sense to understand why the plan was never implemented. FYI, the Liar accusation was just because I've been amused lately by a certain liberal who screams liar every time someone disagrees with him and his blog.

Of course not. We've seen how they look at people like Joe Lieberman and Bill Clinton for exhibiting independent thought. It's actually frightening how much people on mylot hate Bill for not supporting Obama enough.

Clean it up? He has collected more money from lobbyists and special interests in his few years in the Senate than most have collected in a decade!!

If you check the time lines you'd see that our biggest woes, outside of the war, were in the last two years after eh democrats got the majority in the house and senate. That includes gas prices.
