imploding wheelchair update

I called my mechanic today and someone in the office told me that the reason Pumpkin, my wheelchair, imploded was that he was plugged in improperly and now they're not sure the insurance will buy me another control box. I didn't know it was possible to plug in a wheelchair improperly. This has never happened in my over 15 years of owning wheelchairs and besides which it's not like I plugged it in myself. I hope not but I suspect I will spend a lot of time over the next month or so dealing with Medicaid and getting them to do what they should. They said I should call back on Monday and talk to the mechanic directly and then in about two weeks if everything goes according to plan (which it never does in my case) a new control box should be ordered.
