It is a good behaviour when u admit your mistake and try to learn from your mistake. But i had met my lecturer that he get angry when people laugh at his mistake. Maybe he felt that his self-esteem being hurt. This mainly because he felt that his students did not respect hum as he is sharing knowledge for every student. I'm also angry if people laugh at me whle i'm doing a silly mistake. Never laugh at anyone else that make silly mistake. Who knows you will laugh by others?

Do to others as you would like them to do to you. I think it depends - you should respect your lecturer and he will epxect this so laughing at him is bad. With your friends, it may be okay - but everyone likes to be liked and as long as the ratio betweeen nice things and criticism is high you can get away with it. If I had a friend who only criticsed me I would end our friendship. be careful!
