I only use XP. I only do simple things on my pc and surfing is about all that I do. I am beginning to dislike firefox because of all the problems I have been getting with it.

Yeah, you're right, Firefox is safer than another internet browser... But it always depends on the user of computer itself... I've been using XP for a long long long time and up until now there's nothing happen with mine and I hope there will never be something happen with my computer... If you want to secure your computer from virus, you can just install antivirus program... And run it...

I am using vista service pack I and the security and aero features are excellent. I love it. I do love firefox but when I found the tab feature is avialable in IE7 too, I am trying that too. Now I am using both firefox and Internet explorer. Most of the sites are designed by targetting the browsers internet explorer and firefox.

Right now I like Windows XP...although when I first got it I missed my Windows ME. As for browsers, I use Crazy Browser...I tried Firefox, Maxthon and regular explorer and didn't care for any of them although I will use explorer once in a while.

I agree that Vista has better security than XP overall, take for example a much improved firewall (although it still is better to rely on a hardware firewall provided by a broadband router). I disabled the UAC feature on Vista, annoying to say the least. I don't use the Flip3D to switch between open windows/files, it's pretty much useless: it's faster to use the good old Alt+Tab key combination (called Flip in Vista), that way you have more control and information. I have AntiVir & Spyware Terminator for virus/spyware protection, both excellent freeware. Firefox is my browser: I'm using version 2.0.0.17, version 3 was a bit to bloated for my taste. With great plug-ins, performance & security, Firefox is a winner in my book.
