Why do they still sell toy guns for kids?

I hate it when people give young kids toy guns as gifts. My two year old had just received a toy gun and he knows so well how to hold it. His uncle taught him and my God, the adults here even play with the kind that really fires and smokes up and aims the toy gun at small kids just for fun. I am shaking in anger inside. Seething behind my fake smile. I told my husband this is all wrong and i do not like it. Good that he told his (older) brother that it's not really good. I don't know if there's a ban on this or not but i think there should be some kind of an ordinance for toy stores not to sell toy guns. What do you think?
