what to wear?!?

I've been invited to a halloween fancy dress party at a club this month. I have agreed to go but now i can't decide what to dress up as!! I need something that isn't going to cost lots of money - or make me look like a complete muppet!! hehe any suggestions?! xxxx

well is so simple....
go to the center of the road and wait till you been hit by a speedy truck.
thats make you a monster from the grave... just joking...
if you got a nice red chines dress or similar to that with long slit on the side of your legs it is a nice one then buy some head band with red horn on it and some vampire teeth so simple,elegant and daring and most of all affordable... i know you can buy those.

now that's quite a good idea, the only problem is that i don't want this party to be my last one!! lol The vampire seems like quite a good idea, although i don't know where i would find a chinese dress! I have a black corset, i thought that i could wear that with a long skirt and vampire teeth, so i might have to go with that!! thanks for the suggestions!! xxxx

long skirt is a good option though black quite be more deadly type dress if you ask me and i dont see any movies or games that vampy girls wear black dress i only seen red but its only a suggestion if the black one fits to your personality then go for the black one... with nice hair style with a cute black or red nail polish. it might turn the night into hot Halloween if you ask me....

This year's company dinner has the party theme of halloween as well.
People are invited to dress up for the day as well.
Well, it is not the norm for me to dress up for halloween. So, no, I will be going as myself. If going by the people I work with, I am scary enough without the disguise.

haha well i have thought about just going how i look when i fall out of bed, but i thought that might be a bit too scary for all the other people at the party!! hehe I'm not a big fan of dressing up but this party does sound like fun so i thought i would make the effort!! xxx

Hi Munchkin, I don't really have much of an idea, perhaps someone from the Rocky Horror Show as they are easy to make up outfits out of things probably in the wardrobe. I personally would go as an angel to bring a bit of love and light into the occasion LOL. Huggles. Ellie :D

hehe You're right someone from the rocky horror show would be easy but it would probably entailshowing more of my legs than anyone really want to see!! lol An angel is a nice idea, bit of a break from the norm as well as bringing some light and love like you say!! hehe xxx

I am not very good with things like this, but one year I went to some halloween thing, I was a single parent at the time, not much money so I had to be creative. My creativity stretched to making a witches dress out of a bin bag! It was quite big but with a few nips, tucks glitter and glue it did not look half bad, it was quite short too so it was a little sexy! I think I got the hat cheap and then just bought some cheap face paint, the only trouble with that though is that it clogs the skin up bad and can create lots of lovely spots a few days after!

that really was creative, i don't think i could do that!! nor do i think i'd be able to look sexy in a bin bag!! hehe i might have to try it out though, just for the giggle!! Face paint is evil stuff!! i can't use anything like that as i gashed my face when i was little (tripped up while i had a broken arm and couldn't catch myself so my cheek took the brunt of it- my poor mum thought people would be thinking all sorts about her, i look like a proper injured little soldier!! hehe) and if i wear any greasy make up it randomly flares up and looks nasty!! Bit of a tangent there but i thought i'd share!! haha xxxx

Halloween's supposed to be about horror, so I think you should dress as something terrifying. Most people are scared of dentists, so you could get a white lab coat (preferably blood stained) and carry a power drill around with you. Or you could dress like a bailiff or a bank manager, a lot of people are scared of them these days ;-)

lol i am actually qualified as a dental nurse so i could just put my own uniform on!! hehe am not sure that would really be the sort of thing they're expcting me to be wearing - but then again i could say that most of the nights i go out!! hehe xxxx
