How do you release your anger?

Philippines

When I'm angry I usually cry and I don't want to talk to anybody as much as possible coz I know it won't make any better if I talk to anybody. I let it pass for a few hours or even for a day and after that I'll be okay again.

I release pent up anger and or stress by a daily walk. This calms my nerves etc making the day go by easier and faster. Sometimes it may turn into a slight run to rid myself of more than normal anger. I also will talk to friends at my A.A. club when angered oif needed. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I do the same thing when I'm angry... I'll cry and close myself in my room for a while. It's usually hard to get me angry, but when I do get angry it's not a pretty site. It's better now, when I was a kid I used to destroy things and tear up my room. Fortunatly I've learned to deal with it in different ways.

I usually will pray first. That seems to bring a "new hope" to whatever I'm angry about. I'll think about it and then let it go. Being human, that doesn't always work. If I'm that angry I will usually yell out whatever my issue is either to my husband or my closest friend. Then I try praying again and it usually works! It took quite some time for me to achieve this release let me tell you.

I usually play video games to vent my anger. But sometimes i just go for a bikeride or jog with the dog. I wish i had a punching bag hung up sometimes but can't afford that so, besides i really don't have a spot to hang one either i guess.

When I am angry with my husband or my son, I usually speak out and tell them what pisses me off..I can't stand it when I keep it to myself and just be silent about it, when I know that i need to blurt out something or else it will all pile up and it would be worst if the time comes when I can't take it anymore and I just blew it all off.. I need to release the tension building up inside of me..I dont wanna have a heart attack someday because of all the pent up issues that are not addressed..I dont wanna go back to the "old me", who throws things and say hurting words in which I know I will regret in the end.. As much as possible, I speak and voice out what I truly feel..this helps me to calm down because slowly, I am able to release my anger, without hurting anybody... But with someone else, If I am angry with them, I test the water first, if I think and feel that the other person is open minded and would understand why i got mad, I go straight to the point and say it all out, but of course, in a nice, polite way...

When i get upset, i express everything what i feel.I will release all the anger and then i would feel better. At least they know why i get mad or upset.

When I am angry I mostly just curse:) Sometimes punch into some things such as table. After few minutes I am ok. My anger is gone. Sometimes I go to gym and work so hard to get out all the energy, this is mostly the best and also the most healthy way I am trying to get rid of anger:) But I never loose control over myself when I am angry.

Just let it go. Eat something that you like. Or do some sports with your friend. Forget the unhappy things. Everybody is going to make a mistakes. God will forgive us everyone including you and me. So we should forgive the people too.

well, that's kinda funny but when i am angry i work out so hard,i don't know why,it seems like i am using my anger as a source of fuel or something...lol....i am a runner by the way,so the day i am angry is the perfect day for getting my full speed out of me!...try it,it is unusually relaxing and pleasing.

when I'm angry I simply express my anger but without losing control. you know: a recent psychological study concluded that when we get angry the decisions we make are in general LOGICAL (logical doesn't mean wise).

I can hold it in sometimes but if it is an on going thing I just have to blow up and let every one know how upset I am.

WEll, if I'm angry, I usually do three things, one is to keep quiet. Two is to listen to music. The kind that helps me release the frustration. (don't ask what songs. Haha. Just say it's earbleeding to listen to. ) Last, if I'm really frustrated, I cry. I think the latter is the best way to release pent-up anger. PLus it's a great stress reliever. I go and cry my heart out. The next day, I'm okay again.

i have done same things as you do for a long time but it is really painful inside when i just keep it...i think i am a dangerous person because when i am angry i really like to hit something just to release the anger and emotions inside of me...just this lately just so that i do not hit my kids...i hit my hands on the wall..i really like to bang my hand or my head on the wall just to inflict pain and then my anger is gone and that is the time that i cry.

It depends on the type of anger, if it is anger with children,i dont take it seriously..but if it is something serious like someone has shurt me...i like to alone...and cry if its so serious...otherwise forget in some time...thats it.

To release anger mostly I try to be alone or sleep off.But sometimes I do cry.Very rarely but I do scream sometimes on top of my voice if it is with someone of my age.

Hi there amzthienne I don't usually cry but I don't talk to the person who made me angry until I have calmed down which might take a couple of days. I often speak to my mum and she helps me to think about things rationally. Good old mum.
