How did you come up with your nick here in myLot?

In highschool, it got popular to give yourself a nick. (That was also before I knew about the internet). I looked in a Student's Thesaurus/Dictionary for words that best describe me. I coined the code name: fussy rival ruminative fussy= worrying over trivial things; easily upset rival= enemy ruminative= (ruminating) thinking deeply It's really funny looking back since I didn't exactly know what it meant. It just sounded cool to me. Then I came to know the Internet. You always need to have a username when playing games, acquiring email accounts, so and so. I only used the nick "fussy" in joining chatrooms and LAN games. But most naughty people calls me "_.u.s.s.y" (change the F to letter P) so I changed it to FUZZY. When I joined myLot, I just had my baby and fuzzy looks commonplace so I keyed in BABYFUZZ in the username field.^^v How about you, dear MyLot friends?

Hi babyfuzz! We see each other again. What an interesting topic and what an interesting name you have. Actually the name aisa there is my real name but ellis is for my husband's last name. I just recently got married to an american but I still didn't have time to change my name. So everytime I went to some sites, that's the username I will use.

Hi, aisaellis! Thanks for responding. I really am a very curious person. I wanna know how the story behind things, like how did you find out about mylot and how did you come up with your username. I think that this is a very interesting topic, but only a few have responded. So, you're already married. ^^v Where is he now? I wanna ask how you've met, but I think that's another topic. Would you mind starting a discussion about how you met him? lol

I thought we're gonna be meeting up. It's kinda awkward.. How did you feel when you first see him in person..(no, don't answer that) Oh my gush.. Okay.. I'll start a new and different discussion about that. haha! Are you an early riser too? Ratyz also posted about the same time as you... I'm just about to hit the bed. ^^v

Hello babyfuzz. There are some sites where I stated where we met but to make it short, we met through online dating sites. We've been together for 3 years before he finally came here. Now we're married but he went back to Florida to start the paperworks.

Wow you really put a thought on your nick, that's cool. Mine is rather a simple one. Mainly I don't want to use my nickname which is Isah (from Isabelle) as my username, so what I did was to come up with a word which is synonymously related to my nick and I thought of una (a tagalog word for first), which can also mean one (an english term of isa) then I borrowed the letter H and likewise put in the end of una, that results to Unah, and eight is my favorite number. So I signed in as Unah08, but I only use this username in here and in Ciao. Another thing, my username was also inspired by a character in Aeon Flux, Una is the younger sister of Aeon, which is one of my fave movie (I could have use Aeon but someone has already used it). I have different username in other social networking account though which is silenttalker08.

Hi, Unah! I thought it was read as Youna! Do you know Younha? A korean singer? Anyway, Wow! Isabelle. My daughter's name is Yzabella. Her grandAunt thought of that name Isabella (name of province) and I changed the first two letters to make them unique. Her nick is YZ (pronounced as Yzzie). Her dad's favorite number is 8 too. I also came to like the number 8 since I gave birth to my daughter on the 8th of May. I also like Aeon Flux. ^^v I also dig silenttalker. Sounds mysterious. ^^

Oh my gush! No, I don't think it's coincidence. My mom's name is Sofia! My daughter's first choice was Anna Sofia (Annabelle is my the name of my daughter's father). But hubby wants a short name, so he chose Isabella instead, and like I said, I just changed the spelling. At first, I wrote Izabella in one of her things, but I thought Y looks prettier. The soap of Judy Ann Santos' Ysabella was also in time. People thought that we got my daughter's name from Juday. Goodness! What nickname will you be giving your little girly just in case? ^^

Hello babyfuzz! I don't think I have come up with so complicated nickname in this place. It's just a name that I randomly picked up from the CD racks. It is actually a song name from Richard Clayderman's composition. LOL. So easy isn't it? I am not that fuzzy :p

No, of course not. I am not going to use my real name anywhere in the net. It is too risky LOL. And I like the name klaudine actually and sometimes I just hope that it was my real name though. LOL.

I didn't really have a nickname in high school, although my best friends and Iwould call each other with the names of our favorite powerpuff girl. As for my ID here in mylot, well it was pretty random. I usually just type up the whatever unique thing that comes up in my mind. At that time, all I was thinking about was completing the My Melodake series of gashapon. My little hobby was costing me quite a bit of money so I decided to try mylot to earn it back. So, when I registered, the first thing that came to me was mymelodake, and that was it.

Hi! Sorry for the very very late reply.. ^^ I'm not familiar with melodake, but if that's what it is in your avatar, then I think it looks cute. It looks like a poring from Ragnarok, or a pokemonster. ^^ Is it a Japanese thingy? Do you read it like Me-lo-da-ke? I also like Powerpuff girls, but only their cute faces. I'm not fond of watching that cartoon. In college, I made friends with 2 cool friends, and we named each other Blossoms, Buttercup and Bubbles. I used to be Blossoms, but I like Bubbles so we switched. Bubbles looks so cute and naive.. suits me! haha!

My nicknames a little boring really....i'm bit of a rockchick and love my screaming guitars so the name Metalchick sprang to mind. Think it's quite a strong and powerful name so fits my personality well. Often see users with unusual names and wonder what it stands for...it's nice to get an explaination as to why they were chosen.

Yes, metalchick. Yeah, I thought you're the rocker type. ^^v That's the reason why I opened this discussion because it's very interesting how people come up with their nicks. ^^v

Hi, Daffodil.. I'm not familiar with Wordsworth, sorry... Can you tell me more about it. I'm really curious. ^^ haha! I remembered I already used this nick even before I had a baby. I wasn't really thinking about a fuzzy baby or a fuzz over a baby... haha!

Hey babyfuzz, Wordsworth was a great poet. "Daffodils" is one of his poems. I am pasting the poem below. I'm sure you'll like it too and join his fan list. "Daffodils" (1804) I WANDER'D lonely as a cloud That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd, A host, of golden daffodils; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze. Continuous as the stars that shine And twinkle on the Milky Way, They stretch'd in never-ending line Along the margin of a bay: Ten thousand saw I at a glance, Tossing their heads in sprightly dance. The waves beside them danced; but they Out-did the sparkling waves in glee: A poet could not but be gay, In such a jocund company: I gazed -- and gazed -- but little thought What wealth the show to me had brought: For oft, when on my couch I lie In vacant or in pensive mood, They flash upon that inward eye Which is the bliss of solitude; And then my heart with pleasure fills, And dances with the daffodils. By William Wordsworth (1770-1850).

Oh my, Daffodil! Now I know who you're talking about. I've read this poem during elementary, in one of our textbooks. I also fell in love with this poem. thank you so much for reminding me. I haven't been in touch with my poetic side for a long time. Many thanks! hope to be reading another poem from Wordsworth. ^^

Hehe, that's pretty interesting. My myLot username is just my log-in username at my school computers. I usually use the username, Rker, on sites that I register on.

I see. how did you come up with Rker then? Is that from your real name? Or someone calls you by that name? I have a friend who's username is spoz. He said he had 4 numbers gotten from somewhere and to where those numbers correspond to the english alphabet: 19 = s 16 = p 15 = o 26 = z

that's interesting...such a long way from it's root... my name isn't as long a story. Simply, Kauikeolani is my middle name and for short everyone calls me Kaui. 808 is the area code for Hawaii, people from Hawaii use it often. Is kind of a calling card to represent a connection to Hawaii. And like you a needed a login, so it started as my email and then just sort of became my default for everything.

Your nick Kaui is cute.. Kauikeolani is even cuter. Is that English? It sounds like Mediterranean or something.. I don't know. But I like it. Thanks for sharing, kaui_808 from Hawaii!
