she stabbed a man.Judge did WHAT?

Leah marie fairbanks of duluth,minnesota pleaded guilty to first-degree assault for stabbing ciro carales-toledo five times when the two got in a fight last May.fairbanks,who is 26,was drunk at the time.her sentence:judge terry hallenbeck has ordered her to read and prepare reports on eight works,including the delaration of independence,emily dickson",s "we never know",and ernest hemingway,s the old man and the sea."you read that right.she stabbed a guy five times and as punishment she has to write book reports.Do you think this sentence is ridiculous or fair?by-cathryn convoy,compuserve news editor.

hi ann, it is not actually a fair punishment as you said ... but there must be a reason for the judge to give such a judgement ... Let us try to wait and see what the judge is going to say after the reports are done cheers

LOL thats funny not for the guy but for her to write book reports. Not right she should have a jail sentence or something.
