I'm so happy and proud to tell you that we do the angelus prayer without fail. We even do the novena every Wednesdays. We start doing it when our kids started to study. We're letting them lead the prayer so they can learn it. And from then on, they're doing it even me and my wife are not around. It's a good practice. It's really something worth that they can teach to their kids someday.

That is very nice, you really must be proud of your children who can pray the angelus by themselves. I have a group of children here in our place who can pray the rosary by themselves too. During the summer vacation i let them lead the rosary every day in our chapel before our flower offering to Mama Mary.It is so nice to see these children still having the interest to go to the chapel to do the rosary inspite of all these computer games and telenovelas on tv as alternative hobbies.I am so thankful that i and a group of teenagers have taught these little ones to pray and i am glad that they are interested and love what they are doing.

hello sweetie, Wow! You're really is doing a good job teaching those group of children doing the rosary. That's a tough one and I'm so happy to know that. The kids giving time to go to the chapel and pray is really something that you must be proud of together with a group of teens. Yaap! I'm so proud of them for we don't need to remind them every 6 in the evening and Wednesdays. I truly salute you for what you started in your place. Keep it up. And so happy for sharing your experience and responding.

THank you! Yes, we have been doing that for quite some time now. You see we have this basketball league made for little boys, it's a 3 on 3 competition, and one major requirement to be accepted is to join the catechisms every afternoon before each game, of course we do this during the summer. That is why we get to teach them basic catechisms and how to pray and keep them busy during the summer, to keep them away from bad vices and all.I just hope that we can still continue with it for many more years to come.

hello ronaldinu, It's okey for there are times that we can't control our schedule and time. We can pray anywhere and anytime anyway as long as we do it by heart. So happy your doing it even it's not in regular basis. Thanks for responding and sharing.

We used to do this in school. We literally have to stop where we stood until the prayer was done. I remember it was always during lunch. Some are already chewing. LOL!

hello jammyt, Kids are kids, we can't really argue to that especially when they are already hungry. Guess, need to do it again so they will know the importance of doing it even some are already chewing. Thanks for sharing. You really made my day for that chewing thing.

You are a devout Catholic Robert. Very good and well done as a Christian you are proclaiming your faith. I do also practice this angelus prayer with my entire family. One thing I experience this is the inquisitive ming of the children needing for explanation. This way you can share with them more your faith and the gospel. Nice Bert! Happymylotting!

It sounds really good to let the kids to do some significant things, just like do the prayerby themselves, but to spend much time on computer games and tv. I am sorry that i didn't do it once before because I am a colleauge sutdent in china, most of chinese people, including me, do not have any faith due to the culturl differences. In china, most people are buddhist, they always go to the Temper to pay their respects , hopeing the Lord Buddha can protect others they care about or themselves from the diseases and accidents, on weekends or holidays. I appreciate it to do the prayer abroad, i think everyone should have a faith to lead our life without lost. But i have not found it yet. And i am interested in the angelus prayer.

Hello peteryu12, Yes, that's true. Faith in something keep us to lead our life worthwhile. Buddha teaching is also based on making our life worthwhile. The angelus prayers is based on the Roman Catholic faith. I guess there are Catholic churches and Catholics in China. You can try contacting them and learn more about the Catholic faith. I hope you can find what you are looking for through faith and prayer. Regards.

My husband and I are not Catholic (he's Mormon, I'm Presbyterian), so we don't have that prayer in our churches. I did a little research and read about it. What a great thing to pass onto future generations, and I'm glad that you are letting your children lead the prayer, so that they may get to know it better. Wonderful!
