Is anyone involved in the Dave Ramsey plan?

My husband and I are currently going through Financial Peace University and I wondered if anyone else out there is doing the same. How is it working out for you? Thoughts on the envelope system?

I tell you something it really works. I am so happy and my husband and I are already saving money and watching closely where our money is going. So far it's been really wonderful to not have to use our credit cards for things anymore. We're about a third of the way through the course. I highly recommend everyone to get involved.

Hi starryeyes. We haven't actually done his Finacial Peace University but we have done some of his tips you might say. We were able to get rid of all of our credit cards by following his advice. We are now debt free. All we have is our mortgage and the usual bills - utilities, gas, groc. etc. It's definatly worth doing his plan. We budget everything. We put money in the savings for things like medical, auto, Christmas, clothes etc. And we give ourselves a little allowance for blow money. It usually goes into our savings too so we have it to spend on something we want or gifts for each other. It works good for us. Good luck in our goals.
