How long have you been stuck in a traffic?

We all know that the country we live is worse on traffic. A minute ride could take as long as an hour. Traffic are every where and it is seldom that traffic is light. I was stuck before in a very heavy traffic. A Pasig to Quiapo route usually takes 45 minutes (normal traffic which means heavy one) but one time it took me two hours. I fell asleep and I wake up and we still on the same place. Some time I also experienced a heavy traffic on my own to my town place, a heavy down pour of rain caused flood in some streets. A ride home takes 4 hours but because of that flood took me 9 hours and it is only on that particular road. I really want to walk then but no choice since road is flooded. That was the worst traffic experience I ever had. Have you experienced heavy traffic? what is the worst you had?

Hi there. Of course, living in the Metro, it is impossible to get anywhere without virtually any traffic (unless, of course, it's a Sunday or a holiday) and It's quite annoying, though, being stuck in traffic, especially in a public vehicle. If you're driving your own car, you could at least take detours or shortcuts to avoid traffic. As a student, I had had my fair share of horror stories involving missed classed, floods, and getting bored out of my mind waiting for the traffic to move. *sigh* At any rate, now that I've resorted to trains as my main means of transportation, traffic isn't really that much of an issue for me anymore (if you don't count the people traffic), given that I walk or take a tricycle from our house to the station and walk from the station to my office. Thank God for alternative means of transportation!

Actually it doesn't matter anymore if you're riding on a public transportation or driving your own car. When the traffic is heavy, you will really get stuck. I have one heavy traffic experience which really pissed me off. Normally, from libis to my house in fairview, it would just take me 20-30 minute drive. But it took me three hours just because it rained and it didn't rain hard at all. I needed to get home early cuz I have a lot reports to finish but I ended up stuck in traffic and when I arrived home I was too tired to do my reports. I couldn't make a detour cuz the traffic is not moving at all. And I was stuck in the middle of the road.

My worst traffic encounter was when I went to Bambang from Timog, it's been raining heavy down pour when we reach Mabuhay rotonda, the area was flooded knee deep the jeeps were taking alternate route it took me 6 hrs.

Hi! I love the Philippines but I hate the traffic and the pollution. I guess it takes getting used to. I live in the States now, and there's not much traffic (the most is 15 minutes, but the vehicles are moving) and no pollution. When I went home for a vacation last summer, I had to get used to the traffic again! It was terrible because I tried the jeepney (I was so excited to experience that again) for a four-block ride only and it took me an hour! The jeepneys kept on stopping to allow more passengers and would not leave unless they're almost filled up. The buses were also getting in the way of traffic, trying to get their passengers too. I hope this situation will be solved the soonest because this also affects the country's economy.

Hi there! The longest time that I've been stuck in a traffic was 5 hours. That route was from Monumento to Valenzuela via McArthur Hi-way. There was a heavy downfall of rain that time and Tullahan bridge was being repaired that time.

Hi, I don't live in Metro Manila. I live in a small city and I've been to other cities as well but there's no worst traffic like in Metro Manila. One time I was in manila in a middle of a downpour, I and my companions got stuck in traffic for very long time, I forgot how long, but if you're not used to traffic, 30 minutes is very worse. We were headed to someplace in Quezon city from the domestic airport.
