Research says that to have a long and successful marriage...U need to get married to your best friend, The reason being physical attraction definitely fades as time goes by...So if you partner is the best companion you can have....u guys will always be close... So is your partner the one with whom u share all your worries ....and are u totally frank with that person.....or do u have a different view on this????

Hi shankari_prabhu, for me, i would said yes, because when we get old, the physical attraction or appearance is not important anymore. I would like to have someone to chit chat, express my feeling and listen to partners wish, etc. So if he/she is my best friend, then the topic for conversation definitely no problem. And most of the time, the interest is also the same. So can go together for fishing, gardening, etc. That's why finding a partner is not an easy tasks in life. All the best to all of us.

I would say that I got married to my best friend, but she became my best friend as the years went by. I have found that total honesty has empowered our relationship, even when we are communicating something that the other doesn't want to hear. Both of us are the way we are, and having the space to be ourselves is what has made us stick together.
