Does anyone else have this problem? I have an old desk top with Xp on it and Nero installed. Nero came free with the PC. I now use a laptop with Vista on it as the desktop is not working all that well. I paid a lot of money for my new laptop and to my dismay a lot of my software is not compatible with Vista including Nero, which I always loved to use. Windows have a burn set up which is rubbish. To obtain a compatible Nero I have to upgrade to my expense! Does anyone know of a good free replacement for Nero where I can also burn disc to disc. My daughter does dancing and I like to burn the dvds of her dance exams for my sister?1?

My mum has suffered the same problem as you, Vista is just Pants. Downgrade now to XP with SP3, and then you will have a better system, which of course all your software will once again work on. Lets just hope that when the Windows 7 gets released, its a good deal better than the rubbish of Vista.

It is so annoying! I had to turn on my old desktop today which has XP on it so I could read Nero's user manual which would not download with Vista! I downloaded it on XP without a problem. Grrr!! My technician had advised me against downgrading so I'm not sure what to do now. Do you know when Windows 7 will be released?

I believe that they are trying to release it for the first or second quarter of 2009, a year ahead of schedule.
