I was brought up with the belief that good food gives a good future both mentally and physically and even now, I believe and implement the same to my kids.I always try to give them the best food for their right growth and sometimes I'll be forcing them to take the right food though they may not like that. Especially, while giving them snacks and chocolates as well, I make some chocolates at home and buy a few which are not much harmful to them in the long run. What about you?

yes, I also try to give them as healthy food as possible. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are compulsorily home-cooked but I allow my son to snack a little in between. Sometimes also I feel quite tired and give in to fast foods. The worst time is in the evening when my son is hungry and I really don’t feel like making elaborate snacks. Do you have any recipe for quick snacks which can be made at home?

My daughter likes plain sweetcorn boiled in salt water. I do the same with sprouts or soaked peas. I don't know whether your son will like it or not.

yeh i agree with you hole heartedly it is true the better you eat the healthier you are. There are just to many addatives and (excuse my language but really the only right word to use ) CRAP put into all foods nowadays the only real healthy option is to make most stuff yourself. I really try to make as much stuff fresh as i can even making my own sauces for say a pasta or a meat dish although feeling the crunch a little right now with the cost of everything been buying a few of the jarred sauces plus the fact i have 4 children all under 6 to feed time just seems to fly by lol :) I too also make (or at least try to) biscuits, chocolates, cakes and other kind of baking at least then you have a kind of idea as to whats in them because god only knows what the hell they put in sweet stuff you buy from shops..

Dear friend, I think we are sailing in the same boat because I am doing just like you. I'm trying my best to make everything at home for the reasons like it is healthy and economical.

Just like you,I often pay much attention the growth of my children.I cook delicious and nutritional food.Such as eggs, milk, chocolate, noodles, dumplings, juice, honey, chicken, beaf, pork, and so on.So it often takes me much time on cooking.I don't bother that.I am concerned about my family's health.
