Has anyone tried the newest Yahoo Messenger.I think it's version 9? Anyway it's pretty cool..I don't use messengers hardly ever now.. I am too busy to chat..Once in awhile I want to catch up with friends then I hit the messenger.

I've been using yahoo messenger's vesion 9 for quite some time now. It has only a few features that has been upgraded from the version 8. Like the smiley's they added a few, the skin can be changed from different colors, the list is a lot bigger now and has a lot of room for the avatar compared to version 8. But what I like the most in version 9 is it can't be easily booted out. I used to love singing in the chatrooms and sometimes there are booters who just love to boot people out of the chatrooms for no reason at all. I was given several PM bombs but I wasn't booted out. So I guess for those who love chatting and going in the chatrooms, better use the vesion 9.

You sing in the chatroom? What do you usually sing?I like to sing but Idon't think I would go so far as to sing in a yahoo chatroom..Not enough nerve to do that I guess.

Good for you. Whatever works to help you in self image and confidence cannot be a bad thing..Although, singing behind a computer screen is so much more different then singing before a live audience. Wouldn't you agree.. I think there is a certain security as you are not seeing everyone who is watching you.

Yes I do! For more than 2 years now. Before I discovered MyLot I spend most of my spare time singing in the chatrooms. There are a lot of chatrooms offering such and I happened to enjoy it so much. I usually sing songs of mariah carey, kelly clarkson, celine dion, and some songs of local singers. This is where I've gained my confidence in singing in front of the crowd. I have a stage fright and singing in the chatrooms helped a lot in developing myself confidence, now when we have national conferences at work and they invite me to sing, I could sing with complete confidence.

i dont see no reason to download it because i have vista and v8 whorks just fine for me. i may go check it out and see if it has some new features like when they went from v6 to v7 but if they dont have any new stuff ill just stick to the things that work if you know what i mean.

I see .. Yahoo now has a vista version..but perhaps becase I have vista that I cannot get my messenger to funtion properly? Do you think?
