We are very rich in terms of beliefs and superstitions. We have so many, from birth to death, there are at least two that are practiced. In travelling, there are many beliefs too. One is, if you are leaving and it is during meal time, you have to turn the plate 3 times to prevent accidents. Another one is when you encounter funeral march, some throw coins on the march, they say it gives good luck. A friend of mine once said that when you encounter funeral march, you should put your hands on your pocket, says it will give you money. I never practiced those, I find it weird sometimes.

How about you, is there any practice you do when you encounter funeral march?[/b]

Hi pehpot, It is always good to learn some of the practices and beliefs of others, I had never heard of these superstitions before. As a rule today we are not a superstitious people, but some people still avoid things like the number 13 or walking under a ladder as both of these are suppose to bring bad luck. Another is a black cat crossing the road if you are out walking. As I said earlier very few people pay attention to these things today but they are still talked about. Blessings.
