do you still use a digital camera?

mobile phone camera vs digital camera - Cell phones with cameras are everywhere nowadays. It really makes us think whether we now have a mobile phone with camera or a camera with telephone capability.
There are digital cameras capable of 10MP or more resolution, but who really needs pictures with such resolution? 2MP is enough for day to day usage and general printing purpose, and it ensures that images are not too large to be transferred to other devices.

Yea,I use the DC during my travels.Besides the capacity of the DC,which is normally larger than cell phones, the other reason is that the function and the effect of the DC is much better than cell phone~I have my Snoy DC with me which is thin and suitable for me to carry along during my trip`

sony is a good brand of digital cameras and their cybershot is very good but you can have the same with their cybershot phones! and i believe it is the quality not the capacity that makes most incline towards DC as you can increase the mobile phone memory.

I prefer using digital camera for now. They're great compared to CP cameras. CP cameras are not good enough to replace digital cameras. Well, maybe someday, because there are CP's now that have high resolution just like digital cameras. From what I've read, they're being sold in Korea and Europe. One advantage maybe, it's because CP' can be connected to the internet and uploading is easier, while digital cameras cannot. But still, I love my digital SLR.

that is good reasoning my friend. cp cameras are coming up faster and the cmos camera are history and new technologies are used in cp cameras and the companies like se nokia have taken ahead of samsung who first introduced cp cameras and now lg is making a move ahead. this competition will result in new technologies introduce and mp going up and samsung has already launched 10 mp cp camera. lets just wait! good luck

I'm currently using my 3.2MP cellphone to take pictures. I do enjoy shotting some scene from it. It's good enough for me to capture photos in my daily life. It's more sufficient and convenient for me to take it around as camera are too big to carry in my pocket. However, I'm planning to buy a digital camera because I'll be away for vacation next year. I'm going to a great and beautiful beach and i hope i can get some great photos from there for sweet memory.

For general purpose I use my mobile phone camera but for any special occasions I prefer to use digital camera because its picture quality is very clear than mobile cameras. Its true that everyone have mobile phones and they are portable also but in night or in pictures without light the mobile phone cameras are not efficient to take a good picture. So I simply use digital cameras in those conditions

Mobile phones / cellphones are come with camera standard nowadays but it only comes in handy if you need it. If you want to get much better quality pictures then that's where digital cameras are for. You wouldn't want to take pictures of your partner with your mobile phones camera in the middle of colorful flowers under bright sunny day, you would need digital camera. Does not matter how good the megapixels in mobile phones, but they can't beat a stand-alone digital camera.

very good example! the mobile phone cameras are not yet advanced to meet quality of the Digital camera and soon they will! some phones like N95 and others are already have the picture quality of digital cameras. so just a few years. good luck

Nobody can compare a Digital camera with a mobile. It is like comparison between Butter and Margarine; meat and soya.

Yeah I still use digital cameras. phone cameras take very pixelated photos where even cheap digital cameras can take some pretty nice pics. Also on a digital camera you have more options and features (like lighting settings) that phone cameras dont and that can also drastically change how a photo turns out. However, you can take a camera phone into a concert and you cant take your regular cameras, so they come in real handy there.

i know but then too if i want to have good pictures of my visit to different places for memory, any function and occasion pictures i would really go for the digital camera and my digital camera is just so handy and not bigger than a size of mobile and it is so easy to carry. for any videos and pictures digital camera is really very good and my camera is of 7.2 MP and the pictures are very clear and of good clarity and quality. but cell phone camera dont have that much of clarity and the quality of pictures is very very low. but for basic pictures which is really not so important is fine with it but if you are taking a prinr of those photos taken in cell is really bad and i dont like it but just for fun and storing on your PC is good. but for good quality pictures digital camera is a must.

I definately prefer my digital camera over my cell phone. My cell phone takes okay pics, but when I want a good picture, the camera is the way to go. I'm not really into all the newer stuff going on with the cell phones and the memory chips and stuff you can change out. I'd rather just use my camera, pop my memory card out of that, and plug it into the computer. Plus, I can take hundreds of pics on my camera before running out of space. I love my digital camera!

I definitely prefer my digital over my camera phone. The only time I really use my camera phone is for those instant pics that I want to send via text right then. Otherwise I use my digital. It is also far easier to get my pictures off my digital then my camera phone. My camera phone is also a 1.3mp...just yuck.

I don't like the cameras on cellphones so I do use a digital camera. It's the only way I can take nice pictures and get those pictures developed. It's the only way I can make sure to get really nice, clear pictures. If I used my cellphone, I'd never be able to get the pictures off my camera anyway.

I still use a digital camera. It has better quality than by camera phone. It is easier to remove the sd card from my digital camera then my camera.

At present,I perfer to digital camera. Becuase, the camera compacted with mobile phone provide us with a simple function. it is not professional. Let's have a look on the function on digital camera, digital camera provide us with single lens reflex cameras, rangefinder, video floppy ect. I choose digital camera and mobile phone sperately if there is need at the same time.

I definitely prefer my digital camera over my phone camera. There's no comparison. Most of the time I forget about the phone camera unless there's no other camera at hand. My phone camera is only 1.3 mega pixel which makes for poor photos anyway. I generally have my digital camera with me if I'm going anywhere important.
