For the benefit who doesn't know what Sisig is, it's a Kapampangan word for "to snack on something sour." It's one of the most favorite dish in the Philippines. It's prepared with pork cut into very small pieces, marinated in lemon, pineapple juice, kalamansi or vinegar, seasoned with salt, chile pepper, and other spices. Other people use mayonnaise for their sauce. Mmmm yummy! My favorite Sisig that can be bought in the malls is the one made by Sisig Hooray. Do any of you have tasted this? I believe it's available in most Ever Gotesco Malls, Sta. Lucia and Robinson's Galleria.

Err...sorry I don't know how to cook it. This sisig hooray I'm talking about is actually a famous stall seen in the malls here in the Philippines. But you will see a lot of recipes online though. Just search for Pork Sisig.

Goodies? Where is it located? I will hunt it down. How do they cook their sisig is it dry or saucy? I usually like it saucy but it really depends on the taste of the dish.

Yeah this unique dish qwas introduced to me much much later in life. I was already working when I first have the first taste for this. It was in a drinking spree with friends. The first time I tasted it was really good then when i got married we used to buy and cook our own sisig. But then, as I grow older then I realized that this is a good source for the bad cholesterol and is bad for my age already that is why eating this would be a treat and I just could not eat more even if I want to have more. I still like it but the sad part of it is it's not really good for me anymore.

Yeah tasted that too. I think I bought one from the Bangus Restaurant where they offered this kind of sisig. I liked it too but I pretty much preferred the pork one haha....

This is probably the reason why Sisig Hooray came up with another type of it called Bangus Sisig. It tastes just as good of course with the yummy taste of Bangus (Milk Fish). Another yummy recipe I tasted was from Congo Grill called Tuna Sisig. Try it out!

Good to know you've already tasted it. Actually the price used to be P45 for both chicken and pork sisig. The first Sisig Hooray stall was in Ever Gotesco Ortigas Center. When they saw that a lot of people liked it. They decided to put up more stalls. They were even in the newspaper!

My husband is a Kapampangan and he loves sisig, specially the one with mayonnaise. I have not seen and tasted that Sisig Hooray. I want to try that also, but I'm here in Mindanao and I think it's not available in the malls here.

I've never tried Sisig Hooray at all. But I like sisig well enough. No matter who cooks it it's also always good. I never knew about the history of sisg. Thanks so much for sharing that with me. Though most sisig's not very sour...

Hi there. I love sisig, though I didn't think much of it when I was younger. The sisig served at Gerry's Grill was what got me to like sisig and still remains to be my favorite. Nowadays, I'd eat sisig in any form - even the ready-to-cook Monterey ones or the ones that come in cans. I also like Razon's sisig and my friends and I love ordering that when we do eat out. It's perfect for sharing and chatting over. I haven't tried Sisig Hooray, though and since you recommend it so much, I shall keep an eye out for it the next time I visit the malls you've mentioned.

Sisig is one of my favorite dish. I like it crispy, spicy, and with lots of calamansi.. I like to eat sisig with plain rice with cold drinks such as iced tea or soda. I always want to eat sisig while still hot and crispy..

A friend of mine actually cooked sisig using Pineapple juice instead of calamansi most of my other friends said that it was really. However, I haven't tasted it yet. I haven't seen that friend of mine for years.

I like sisig and I thought it from my kapampangan friend but this time only I know what sisig mean. I try this recipe of yours to think that this is more nutritional and delicious.
