On my puppy Ziggie's first walk he met my friends rottweiller walking along with a ktten on its head and I don't know which one he was more frightened of bless. She hasn't been able to get an active pic but this is Mr. Scully the kitten sat on top of Boycys head LOL. I have another pic of them eating together but will post after I get my first responses. Please share any unusal and funny animal stories. Ellie :D

hi ellie I saw something a while back and now I dont remember where, but it was a fairly large dog that had adopted and cared for abunch of baby kittens. the picture showed this large mama dog letting theselittle baby kittens nurse on her, while her own baby pup was also nursing. I wish I could remember where I saw this but it was really cute. I think it was in a bunch of odd pictures that an internet friend had sent me.

Thank you for responding Hatley, it now means I can actually post the picture of them which I originally forgot to upload, silly me. So I will upload now in this response. That story was so cute, it is amazing how animals that aren't supposed to get on do in fact get on so well eh! Huggles. Ellie:D

Oh Ellie the pics are lovley! It is so lovely to see how the rotweiller doesn't seem to have a caare in the world with the kitten on his head its beautiful..huggles littleowl

Aww--I saw the pics under Hatley's and Oreo's response....that's too adorable for words...what a good natured BIG dog to put up with having a kitty on his head...LOL....I remember seeing something similar--ah got it...It was a Youtube video of a large dod (Rottweiller) with a cat on his back, and on the back of the cat was a white rat....here it is

Wow Oreo, Thanks so much for the clip, that is amazing I am going to forward that to my friend with the rottweiller and kitten in the pic, she'll love it. I just can't believe the rat as well. I must get a pic of my rabbits cuddled up to one of my cats (the cat thinks she is their mum LOL) Thanks for sharing. Huggles. Ellie :D

its because the pics were in Hatleys and Oreos response and I'm hungry, I was hinking biscuits. Great clip though Pyewacket and I have emailed my friend with it, she'll love it.

Hi Ellie will have to post this response before seeing the pic'...I have had so many funny things happen with my dogs that no particular one comes to mind at the moment, but there is one thingthat my pickles does when she's happy to see you after getting back from the shops or something and she also does it if she has been naughty...she stands there wagging her tail and 'smiles ' at you..that looks so sweet..especially if she has done something wrong as it seems to be her way of saying 'I'm sorry,I didn't mean to upset you'...Huggles littleowl

Hi Littleowl, just as well you can't see the pic yet as I forgot to upload but they are there in response one and two and just oh so cute. I can just imagine Pickles smiling like hat as if to say sorry, Ziggy puts his pawa around my neck and nuzzles to say sorry or rolls on his belly. They are all such characters eh! Huggles. Ellie :D

I could not see the pic at first, then I realised you had not put it in but then I found them! So sweet, I think that is the sweetest thing that I have seen in ages, and what a sweet name for a kitten!

my dog and youngest cat are the best of mates but they fight aswell the funniest storys have of them are when the seal started going on the old fridge and spider figured out how to open it but couldn't get anything so they double teamed i caught her opening it from on top of the counter (crafty cowbag) and he would then go in take mean and stuff and drop it on the floor for the pair of them to eat. I've also laughed out loud when i've had to seperate them from fighting cos they were having one of those days (like kids do) and he's come in howling the the car hanging off his nose evil little bugger than she is.

Those pictures are so precious! I wonder if they will be lifelong friends? I have a chihuahua who grew up with cats. To this day, she still grooms herself like a cat, even thought the cats (sadly) are no longer with us. You take excellent shots, would love to see more pictures when you taken them, ok?

Hi Catdla, They are amazing pictures, I should think they will continue this friendship as they are both very young, my friend took the pics but when I manage to get more I will share with you as when he is out on a walk with the kitten on his head and another cat following round it is absolutely hilarious. Maybe you should get a series of pictures while they grow. Later, perhaps you could write a childrens book around them. Kids love kittens & puppies, as well as dogs and cats. Could have a theme of while people are different, they are the same too.

Hi AmbiePam, I done my usual and forgot to upload pic LOL. They do look so cut together and she told me the other day the kitten had fallen asleep in his bed and he was trying to get into the bed without squashing her bless and in the end settle outside of his bed rather than harm her. I think it is truelt wonderful. Huggles. Ellie :D

Can't wait to see the picture! We used to have a parakeet named Pecky...well we would let him out and he would dive at Reggie..my cocker who is a bird dog...they would play together until one day Reggie actually got pecky! Not a funny story but when you would see the two together and Pecky would irritate the heck out of Reggie it was funny...and if you would say..pretty bird to pecky..Reggie would get right in your face and bark...like pay attention to me!!!

My calico cats are best friends with my two black labs, they had to be
it was my LAW..LOL! they had to be friends and I made sure my dogs knew
that my calico kitties was NOT pretty rabbits for them to eat...

There is no image link on the left side or..any side for me. Maybe I'm blocked from adding images!?
I just hit "preview comment", then "edit" but still no option to add an image. Maybe they changed it to only allow those with 500 post's. That's all I can think of for not being able to add a picture.
Grey is my favorite kitty color too! They're just so cute!

Oh my goodness...those pics are too cute!! I love to see animals getting along like that with each other. So many times the animals don't get along. My dog I used to have did not like other dogs being around her at all.

Today on the boardwalk I saw a Guy walking along with a golds gym tshirt and bigger muscles than the incredible hulk what I thought unusual was the scawny little dog he was walking. Looked like the kind of guy who needed a boxer. Ever noticed how some pets have similar charaterists or mannerisms as therer owners? LOL

Hi Ellie,
Can't wait to see the picture. When Bogie was just a tiny puppy I also had a huge black lab named Zach. I'm going to have to find the pictures and post some. Anyway, bogie was like 2 pounds when I brought him home, Zach was 120 pounds. zach would lay by the kitchen garbage can and bogie would climb up and see what he could get for the two of them. It was a sight to behold. Zach was so easy with bogie. Bogie would always sleep either on zachs back or between his out stretched legs. Now I'm going to see your picture. Hugs

during my childhood, i ran to home in a road where is quite dark, that time i passed a bunch of dogs. suddenly those dogs rounded me that i would be a thief. i was feared. then i stopped running and stand there quite for a while. then i slowly walked from there.
