Do you like to sight see or just relax?

When I go to a foreign destination I like to see all the view points and walk around looking at the architecture. I go to museums and art galleries to find out about the history and she the art work. I sightsee by day and go back to my accommodation before dark. I usually travel independently and so it is my choice to rush around and she everything that I like. One time I wanted to take an organized trip so I had to meet at a backpackers hostel at 2 in the morning. The mini bus drove to the bottom of Mount Masada and we climbed to the top of it to enjoy the sunrise. Wow! Then we went to float in the Dead Sea. The water was really salty and all I could do was float. It was impossible to swim in it. I would find it boring to sunbathe on a beach all day. I have to go out an explore, take photos and hopefully spot some wildlife. It is also interesting to meet the local people and find some souvenirs to buy. What sort of sights are you interested in? Have you been on an organized trip if so what was it like? Would it bore you to sunbathe on a beach all day?

When I go on vacation, I like to see all of the national parks and natural sights. I like traveling across the United States because there are so many different types of terrain. Then again, I also like to go to big cities and see of the amazing new big sights. Like in Las Vegas with all of those lights and everything at night. Or New York City's Time Square. I just think it is all so amazing. I don't think that I could ever tire of just looking at the different cities and different sights. My goal is to one day travel for a living. I think it would be so awesome.

I fight that sightseeing is relaxing in a way. It's something that I enjoy doing, when I go traveling, it's to see a new place, or to revisit a place I've already been to. However, there have been some days when I didn't want to do anything, when I was on vacation.

It really depends on what's my purpose of being in that particular country. I will travel to places like Bintan to relax. I wouldn't mind lazing in the Sun for the entire day. If I'm in Europe (for example), I would definitely sight see. I would want to take a tour round the different cities, admiring the architectures.

I live in Calgary, Alberta and we have a ton of things to see and do right here at home. I go out every weekend and enjoy some of the sites. I don't need to go to far or to foreign places to see good things. I live so close to the mountains and I go to them quite often, about 8 times a year and enjoy the outdoors. It doesn't matter to me if it is winter or summer, I like every season. There is so much to see and do right here. We have the Calgary Tower and lots of museums and art galleries and I have been to just about every one of them. We have the Calgary Stampede, I go every year and some times twice. Sometimes I love to walk around downtown and people gaze. We don't have a lot of bodies of water, but there is enough for the things I enjoy. We have two rivers that run through our city. One of them runs right through downtown and we raft on that river lots and people watch from the water. It is just so relaxing and nice to go rafting after a hard day at work. And not to have to drive far to do it, just 10 minutes to where we like to start our rafting. Of course since the river takes us down stream we have to have a second car because we need to park it at the end where we will be getting off of the water. I have to say I love it. So in most people's cities where they live, they have all of the things to see and do, that they would do if they went somewhere, so I don't have to go somewhere but see and do it all at home.

Dear friend, Mostly I like the scenarios in high ranges and stay in resorts and also beaches too. We do also organise trips may one in a year if we all get together with much of holidays. I do relax after I feel much of physically tried. If I am not tried or normal I would prefer for sight seeing.

I like to go sightseeing and relax as well. If I'm in a vacation in a town area, I normally go sightseeing during the day and relax by the pool in the evening and at night. If I have a beach vacation, I don't mind spending the time by the beach. I don't normally sunbathe, I just like to sit and relax by the beach, feeling the sea breeze in my hair. My hubby likes to dig in the sand to look for tiny creatures or some strange stuff. I'm hoping to bring my daughter on her first beach vacation soon. I'm sure she would enjoy it. We can go swimming together.

Oh I love sight-seeing! I like going to the small neighborhoods and looking at the people, shops, and restaurants. I like seeing nature up close and personal as well because it's a reminder of God's existence. I wouldn't go on a sight-seeing trip with a guide though because it takes out the fun of the experience. They always rush me from point A to point B and they only make me go to places which are popular. However, popularity is very subjective don't you think?

A while on teh beach is good but not lazing around all day. It is fun togo around exploring the new place you have come to. I prefer going to all the interesting places and seeing all that the town has to offer. Meeting the people and knowing about their lifestyle and culture is also interesting.

I like travelling very much, and my whole life is like working hard and then travelling hard. I spent all most all my money on it, and it gives me great pleasure. I go organized trips arranged by the company, but it's just sightseeing, but not exploring at all. I prefer go on my own or with like-minded friends. Both are fine to me as I can find great joy in both. I like going to the wild, where there are no places of interest, but you can enjoy the nature, fresh air, and wild animals if lucky enough. Historical places enjoy my respect, so I would definitely go there. And bars, when I was not exhausted in the day, I would pay visit to bars of that place. It's quite interesting, and a good way to learn the local culture.

i like to do a little of both i think if your going to shell out the money you cant just sit around allday you have to see some stuff that you have never seen before and may never see again.

When I go away I like to compromise, explore and sightsee one day and then relax by the pool and swim the next, that way the holiday is varied and you can relax, rather than rushing about, otherwise you feel knackered and need a holiday just to get over the holiday! When I went to Rhodes I arranged trips out every other day, and I relaxed on the beach or by the pool the other days, it worked a treat and I was much more fresher and ready to face a day of exploring! When you have a fortnight you have plenty of time to do both which is important to get a balance, I saw everything I wanted to see in Rhodes and I also took advantage of the lovely cool pool to swim in and chill out!
