How far in the furture do you think it will be before Robots have artificial intelligence? They will be able to clean your house, wait on you and answer your questions. How will you feel about purchasing a robot that can help run your home? Would you buy one right away or wait untill they had been on the market for awhile? Or would you say no and never buy one at all?

I do, and I do think they will take over for the working man also. In a way it would be nice, but in another we better think of what it will do to our jobs and economy. As if it is not bad enough.

You are so right, if we had bots doing that, taking the few jobs left, we would be in a pickle.I guess its a good thing in that sense that technology hasnt come round yet!Its probably only going to be affordable for the very rich anyway!

Soon, all to soon. The lazy person in me loves the idea of having robots around to do so many things i just don't want to do. The utopian in me sees a world where we no longer have to rely on people to do the unpleasent tasks and we can become more spiritual or philisophical. However the sci-fi lover in me has a certain amount of fear toward the whole idea of artificial life. I wouldn't by one right away or maybe not ever. I would consider borowing one though.

If we were sick or handicaped and really needed the help....it could be a blessing in disguise,,,who knows when you may really need to call upon your bot? Could it run to the store for you? Who knows , one day, what may happen?

Sad to say it certainly won't be in our lifetimes my friend! Maybe in the next millennium, that's if our good Earth is still here! But the way technology is progressing it is definitely a case of when and not if for sure. I am not sure I would want a robot in my home to be honest, what if it went wrong, what if it turned on you? I guess I have been watching too many Terminator films! But if they had a mind of their own they could actually continue to wipe out the human race, at the moment computers are replacing jobs, so it stands to reason doesn't it that one day computers or robots will take over the human race as we know it, but relax as I said it won't be in our lifetime or the next few either!

Yes, I do and I believe we already have robots in the public that are "pretend" human beings doing what we used to do. Robots will soon take our place in many, if not all, capacities.

I wouldnt mind having a bot to help out at times. I dont want to be lazy but they also provide a great deal of information, they will be so highly intelligent that there wont be much that they cant do.
