What are your feelings on creation vs evolution?

I have been in two different conversations in the last two 3 days where I have found myself wondering if there is an exact answer. So my question is what do you believe and why?

My belief is that these ideas are not exclusive. There is no reason to believe that a creator could not create man by putting different particles together until he achieved a man in his own image. The bible never says that man was created before all other creatures, why couldn't evolution be part of the creators plan in the creation of man. I believe in both evolution and intelligent design.

1hopefulamn I couldn't disagree more that you have to chose one or the other and I don't write of science and/or evolution as anti-God, I think we are given all the wonderful things we have on earth byu our Creator and I don't discount his ability but I don't discount science either. My point was simply that if God created the smallest atom- that doesn't take away from his creating everything- just that he equipped the world with the ability to adapt to the everchanging landscape. I am the certainly not anti-Christ, I believe in him whole heartedly and believe in him with no doubts, that doesn't mean I don't have questions.

God can do whatever He likes. The process could be called whatever we want. But the word Evolution is not viewed in general as a scientific term to describe the process but has become a god itself to replace the Creator. We have science to describe the process. Science and Evolution are not interchangeable terms. Evolution was thought up to attack the Creator not to explain Him. Maybe to some it's a subtle difference and we see that some are adding a new definition to the term, since they couldn't destroy faith in God but, a small poisonous snake is just as dangerous as a big one. Some might point out that Hitler enjoyed music, to point out that we should not condemn him as entirely wicked, and view the positive side of this wicked man. I don't buy it and I don't buy Evolution either. I view them both for what they are, wicked and anti-God. In some things, there is no middle ground, it's one or the other. Choose!

i believe in the creation story because i really don't think it's possible that our ancestors were apes. we are created in God's own image and likeness that's why we all look good.=D

I understand why you feel that way- it is very clear in the bible that man was created in the image of God but as a person with a strong science background I do believe that we evolved to what we are today- I just don't know to what degree. Thank you for responding.

Personally I believe in creation by God. Can I answer all questions, no! I have proved things to myself but cannot prove it to those that don't want to believe. So, I guess, each one of us has to decide for themselves. I do believe in freedom of choice. I always will, until God himself speaks out.

See- this is why I wanted to have this discussion because I can see both sides and understand reasoning for both. Like you I believe God will reveal the answer with the second coming. Thank you for responding.

Evolution 100% for me. No disrespect to religion however I hate the shunning by churches over science. You can't prove one over the other.

Fair enough and I don't completely disagree I'm just not sure what that means for how it all started. Do you think the Big-Bang Theory is more acceptable for how it all began? Thanks for responding and I look forward to hearing from you again.
